About

Nobody wants generic, unverified AI slop on their website. That is the fear this was built around. Mastheads is an editorial pipeline, not an AI writer that hands you a first draft and stops. It researches the topic against real sources. It writes under a real named byline, in a voice you set. It passes the draft through fact-check, standards and editor desks before you ever see it, and every article arrives showing what was checked and what fell short. Then you press Publish. It publishes to seven platforms - WordPress.org, WordPress.com, Ghost, Webflow, Shopify, HubSpot and GoHighLevel - or hands you the drafts if you do not run a site. If you run more than one site, the unit here is the site, not the article: up to 20 from one dashboard, each with its own voice, language and country. Free 7-day trial, 10 articles, no card.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Avoid it at all costs. Absolute scammers, will ruin your SEO and online reputation
  • Easy to use.
  • Easily create a lot of blog posts and autoposting on Wordpress website. Easy to use and integrate with website. Pricing is good.
  • The advertised features suggested a level of sophistication and efficiency unheard of. However, they simply don't work.
  • The best thing about it is the speed at which you can test and generate content. It's crazy fast. Also setting it up with my Shopify store to create content based on my products, using my images and videos, and on top of that having a CTA to my products is amazing. It essentially cuts down my workflow by about 90%. Great stuff guys.

Cons

  • Fuck no. It is piece of shit tool. It flooded my blog with hundreds of duplicate posts, and thanks to their social integration, my LinkedIn as well. Result: My blog SEO was negatively impacted and linked basically started marking my content as low quality spam. I am getting <10 views on LinkedIn with 25k+ subscribers, down from 200-300 views that i was getting earlier. Avoid this fucking shit like a plague. I am contemplating legal action to run these scammers into the ground.
  • I don't know how it is in English but in other languages it's very very bad. Repetitive, doesn't matter what i write the tool writes the same bad content.
  • Got one of our clients into legal trouble by scraping copyright images from Google and inserting them into articles. Cost several thousand dollars to mitigate and took no responsibility for it. They changed their app based on the feedback but that did our client no favors.
  • I encountered an array of technical glitches that rendered the tool nearly unusable. From errors in posting to integration to irrelevant videos being chosen by the AI, the list of issues was endless. The software frequently produced articles with seemingly random bold text and nonsensical links, such as linking to an article about arms when discussing legs. Even the sales pitches were out of context, and the articles were filled with generic terms, lacking any meaningful content. Finally, the brand "pro" feature is completely broken, listing us as a supplement company while we're a workout app. The final straw was the response (or lack thereof) to my request for a refund. Despite acknowledging the multitude of issues, the company refused to issue a refund, even on an annual plan. It's unreasonable to expect customers to pay for 12 months of service when the product fails in the first month. This refusal not only reflects poorly on their customer service but also speaks volumes about their business ethics. A cursory search online reveals a growing number of negative reviews, with phrases like "Overpromising tool, bad support" becoming a common sentiment. It's disheartening to see a company not only fail to deliver on its promises but also refuse to take responsibility for its shortcomings. In conclusion, this software has been a disappointment on multiple fronts – from its faulty functionality to the company's lack of accountability. I strongly advise potential users to steer clear and consider alternative solutions. The market is full of promising tools, and it's not worth risking time and resources on a product that has consistently proven to be unreliable.
  • The design could be improved, but that's just me being picky.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • I’ve been using Mastheads for around two months, and the biggest thing that stands out is the quality of the writing. It does not feel like a typical AI writer that simply generates generic content from a prompt. The output feels much closer to editorial-grade writing, with better structure, research, sourcing, tone, and overall article quality. I especially like how Mastheads combines research and writing into one workflow. It can help find relevant information and sources, build a properly structured article, maintain a consistent writing style, check claims, and even generate supporting visuals. This makes it feel more like an AI editorial assistant than just another text generator. The interface is clean, the workflow is easy to understand, and it saves a significant amount of time when creating long-form content without sacrificing quality.

Cons

  • I haven’t experienced any major issues during my roughly two months of use. Because Mastheads has quite a few publishing and editorial features, it can take a little time at first to understand everything the platform can do. I would also like to see even more customization and advanced editorial controls added over time, but these are relatively minor points.

In AI writing, most of the category stops at the draft. Mastheads does not. It researches before it writes and cites what it used. It writes under a named byline in a voice you set. Every article goes through fact-check, standards and editor desks that are allowed to hold it back, and it arrives showing what was checked and what fell short. The final say stays with the writer or editor. From there it publishes into any of seven platforms - WordPress.org, WordPress.com, Ghost, Webflow, Shopify, HubSpot, GoHighLevel - in any language.
