Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros GroupMe has a great reputation, which makes it easier when the app is well known and functions as needed when communicating with large groups of people. The GroupMe is very user friendly and it's easy to get started no matter how much of a novice you are. The fact that you can create events and invitations for your group events is a real plus. In my university days, thus was a must have and I've used it for work too. It keeps everyone in the loop no matter where they're at with quick messages. It's good for when you don't need to do a full on meeting but you need to get a message or file out to everyone quickly. Intuitive communication platform to interact with coworkers and friends. Easy to add and chat with people. Photo and video sharing options. Group chat. GroupMe has multi-platform support. It offers instant messaging. Group chatting and controlling are great. Encrypted and secured messages. Cons It has served the purposes I have needed it to over the years, so no complaints. Sometimes it is a little difficult to follow multiple conversation threads that are subgroups of the main group. There's a few glitches with it if you're only using it through your phone number. I suggest always using the app. I never encountered any problems with this platform. It worked great for me. I highly recommend this tool.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros It offers Intuitive design and features for communication. It has multi-platform support, which makes it easy to connect with mobile and desktop. It also offers a file-sharing option. (+) Multi-application, mini-apps, and support to many features is a definite plus. (+) Easy to use and very interactive interface. (+) Integration with various other businesses. (+) Easy to setup. I use WeChat to communicate with classmates in some culture clubs at university. I prefer FB Messenger groups to WeChat groups though, because I find that WeChat makes my older Android phone laggy. It's pretty cool how WeChat had payment options and miniapps long before most western messaging apps though. Cons It worked great for me. Nothing to share about the con. (-) Not as fast as regular communication applications. (-) Privacy is not up to the mark. (-) Improvements on the collaboration interface. Makes phone laggy, is memory intensive, can make phone hot to the touch after ~10 min of calling someone via WeChat. Supposedly is monitored by the Chinese government.
