Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • It is so simple to jump in and create a solid presentation. There is a very small learning curve in comparison to other softwares, and a variety of great templates that make it easy to have beautiful presentations. I also love the collaborative aspect of slides, and have used it for many group presentations.
  • Google slides has so many pros. Some of my favorites are the ease of use and how you can quickly make a presentation look professional without having to spend hours on it. I also love how you can share the slides with people on your team so it can be a group effort to create a presentation.
  • - It is simple to use and helps in creating customized slides easily. - It can be integrated with other google applications as well as web browsers. - All the projects are auto-saved. - The projects can be collaborated with other participants. - The user interface is intuitive and user-friendly.
  • - Google Slides helps in creating interactive and attractive slides, which helps in presenting ideas. - Slides can be easily converted into PDF document. - It allows adding multiple elements like pictures, music and voice-overs in slides. - Slides can be easily created from the pre available templates in the application.
  • - Google Slide helps tremendously in presenting visual representation of ideas through its useful tools. - Along with text, images and videos, it also allows attaching voice-overs to presentations. - It is user-friendly and easy to use. - It allows converting presentation into PDFs.

Cons

  • It can be a bit slow to update when multiple people are editing the slides at the same time, but it's a very minor problem. Other than that, it works well for what I need!
  • I wish there were more layout options for me to use.
  • - It lacks adding some features like graphics and visual elements to the slides.
  • - While importing PPT made on PowerPoint, there can be multiple challenges faced by the user like misalignment of layout.
  • - The things this application lacks in is Animations. Aside from that, it is a productive tool to create presentations.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • There are consistent updates to the software that have made it better than ever. There are new designs, and my personal favorite, live language translation while you present! They are certainly working to keep PowerPoint competitive with similar products, and are really making it work.
  • More recent versions of Microsoft's PowerPoint have ultimately proven to be a very useful presentation tool for projects. In a recent graduate level group project I lead, we utilized MS PowerPoint's online coordination abilities to work be able to work on the presentation simultaneously. This ability was amazing while we were closing the project out and preparing the final presentation as while we were holding the wrap up meeting in Skype we were able to all make edits and review the presentation on the same copy.
  • PowerPoint has incrementally improved over the years, and has more features than I have time or patience to explore...it gets the job done well.
  • PowerPoint is easy to use, powerful, and professional for building presentations. The templates and see m designs are nice too.
  • Ease of use, features, design and support are unparalleled. There are very few apps like MS PPT. Updated support for local languages makes life better.

Cons

  • I wish there was easier cloud storage or collaborative editing through PowerPoint, but this is easily achieved by pairing it with other softwares like Box.
  • My main complaint with PowerPoint is that the user interface in more recent versions is a bit more confusing and less user friendly than older versions.
  • Images aren't as easy to work with in PowerPoint as they are in keynote. Design in general in keynote seems to have a better 'feel'.
  • It doesn't have quite the flash as Apple's presentation builder, which seems more modern, but it does the job.
  • Nothing much to hate in PPT. It is the standard for delivering presentations.
