About

GhostCap is a game server hosting company built by gamers, for gamers. What started as a community running Rust, Unturned, and CS:GO Zombie Escape servers grew into a hosting provider trusted by players worldwide. Our infrastructure spans New York, Dallas, Frankfurt, and Strasbourg, with NVMe storage on every node for fast world loading, quick mod installs, and smooth gameplay even on heavily modded setups. We use the WISP and Pterodactyl panels to give you a clean, modern interface with full file access, scheduled tasks, automated backups, and one-click modpack installs. We host a wide range of games including Minecraft (vanilla and modded), Palworld, Satisfactory, Project Zomboid, Vintage Story, 7 Days to Die, Soulmask, Terraria, Factorio, BeamMP, and many more. Pricing is straightforward with no hidden fees, and our support team handles real problems directly, whether that's a custom modpack install, a Java version tweak, or digging through a crash log with you.

P2P connection with end-to-end encryption based on NaCl. No administrative privileges or installation needed for Windows, elevate privilege locally or from remote on demand. We like to keep things simple and will strive to make them simpler where possible. Supported by a network of early advocates, contributors, and champions. Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Even though it's fast when it does work, since it's self hosted and runs through your own relay server.
  • - Self Hosting - Speed - Security - This means nothing, but the form told me I needed at least 100 characters in the text box. Lorem ipsum quick red fox yadda yadda yadda.
  • Unattended Mode plus the OTP Mode, faster connection and better display and resolution handling on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Cons

  • Their support staff are not helpful, blunt, not trained at all to work with the public and quite rude. The system is full of bugs which are not being addressed, even though the internet is full of the discussions of these.
  • - Additional charge PER endpoint - regardless if you need unattended access or not - Support is terrible/non existent. - Server installation was a pain.
  • Remote Connection have no 'on-premises' options just like AnyDesk.
