Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros It is fast, accurate and does not try to get you to install Norton or McAfee every time it updates. Easy to personalize. Allows to edit PDF files Requires minimal system resources Multi Platform availability Available on smartphones Free version I love the ability to write on/in PDF forms whether they are forms or not. The ability to add digital signatures is a plus. Foxit reader also lets you redact documents or "cut" out pieces of the document to paste in other documents. The ability to resize comment text to match the existing format has helped us make corrections or changes to existing documents. It works well for filling in pdf forms and will even remember fields that are commonly used to speed filling time. Foxit is a very light and fast software. It's GUI is simple and very effective. It's easy to use. Some features include Annotations, Convert to PDF, Digital Signature, Encryption, and Watermarking. What I really liked was the possibility of opening multiple files in different tabs within the same window. View & edit multiple PDFs. Free version provides most of the features. Available across platforms. Lightweight - uses minimal resources. Cloud storage Integration. Cons Haven't been able to find any cons so far. Not one complaint. Needs a update in interface and a general smoothness. The system always prompts you to save to the "Foxit Cloud" and when you click "Save as" the cursor jumps to the bottom right of the screen. The major issue I've experienced with Foxit Reader on Linux is related to the Printing options. I wanted to change the default options for my printer (one-sided vs two-sided) but I couldn't find where to do that. All the settings that were set properly in CUPS were simply ignored by Foxit. After discussions with the support people, it appears that it is possible in the Windows and Mac version only but not in the Linux version. UI has become outdated. Problems with opening some large files.
