Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Good sales team, that's for sure. There is nothing positive about finally unless you like spending money on a possible scam or complete incompetence. Nothing to like. The sales process was believable and the salesperson was trustworthy. His name was Jack and I think he truly believed in what he was selling. NOT ONE SINGLE THING! Everything about this company is a literal DISASTER and I could not fire them fast enough!!! Cons I cannot begin to describe the level of frustration (or expense) that we have experienced in the last year. The accountants don't ask questions & don't shut up & listen long enough for us to complete a sentence anyway. Email questions or concerns go largely unanswered but rest assured they'll pull the payments for their 12 month contract shamelessly. Absolutely the Worst Bookkeeping Experience I've Ever Had Working with Finally Bookkeeping was a complete nightmare from start to finish. I paid for services like reconciling and invoicing, none of which were ever completed. Scheduling a meeting was nearly impossible, and on the rare occasion I did manage to book one, they would cancel last minute and then follow up with a suspicious email trail that made it look like I had canceled. Unbelievably unprofessional. At one point, they told me my general ledger was incorrect, then asked me if I knew why, without providing any details. They miscategorized taxes paid as personal income, which is a major and avoidable error. When I asked them to pull a simple report, they told me I should contact my former bookkeeper instead. Completely unacceptable. For five months, they repeatedly asked me to submit the same reports. I complied every time, and every month they acted like it was the first time they'd asked. When I questioned whether I was submitting them incorrectly, I got no response. During onboarding, I watched them access all my accounts, yet every time I asked why something wasn't done, they claimed they didn't have access. I went through the entire process of granting permissions again, only to be told again that they didn’t have access. Whether this was incompetence or a scam, I can't say. But it was hands down the worst, most frustrating, and most unproductive experience I’ve ever had with a bookkeeping service. This is only a handful of examples of completely unprofessional and unacceptable practices. Save your time, money, and sanity. Look elsewhere. For 6 months they pulled $250 off my card! For 6 months they made me upload statements. For 6 months, I didn't hear a peep out of them. After 6 months, I wanted out. They beat around the bush getting back to me. Them my reps excuse was she was sick. Everything else. My experience was a complete disaster. EVERYTHING!!! NO communication, couldn't correctly categorize transactions, didn't handle one single thing for filing taxes, made us late to file and will cost us exorbitant late fees, took MONTHS for the first email about ANYTHING regarding our accounting, they take weeks to reply to an email but STILL don't answer questions, all they care about is their MONEY.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros I like the no-nonsense command-line interface. PAYE and connection to HMRC is an incredible feature to have. I love that I can set it up on my own servers. It works very well. Stansoft is an excellent accounting software that addresses the needs of small businesses. It has lot of functionality but as a user based in UK, I've only used only VAT MTD and HMRC PAYE modules. * Extremley lightweight * Double entry accounting * G/L * Sales/AP/AR/Invoice generation * Up to date with UK Tax rules * Easy setup / clear documentation / video tutorials Runs in a Unix terminal. The features aren't hidden or obscured behind menu after menu. Reports are plain, easy to print or export into usable data. The support we have received for any issue/lack of knowledge has always been fantastic. HMRC approved for Vat and Paye submissions. Terminal based and accessible via ssh from anywhere in the world. Super fast. Multiple user logins unlimited. Easy layout of Menu's. Easy to understand. Great customer support if needed for a small fee. The manual is easy to read. Cons There's a lot of features. I only need it as a UK business, it would be cool if I could set it to a mode that would hide all the features and sections that wouldn't apply to me. You can just ignore those sections if you don't need them, but it'd be nice to be able to pick a setup that only shows you the options relevant to you. Text based UI Steep learning curve Potential for improvements to user experience I have yet to find anything I don't like about it. Nothing to dislike if I am honest. No issues to dislike at the moment.
