Pros: 1. Everything related to construction is available on one platform. Hence information is handy.
2. Can give access as per the roles.
3. Accessibility made easy.
4. Quite easy to use.Cons: 1. Major reports like Purchase Register is not available where we can see each and every details of transactions.
2. Internet explorer and its settings are mandatory. Should be available for direct use on browser like google chrome, Mozilla etc.
3. Often unable to print or view report instead of correct settings.
4. Subcontractor invoice format is complicated to understand.
5. Interface could be more user friendly.
6. "Screen zoom level" error pops up every time after login.
7. IOS compatibility is the major issue.
8. Sometimes difficulty in downloading reports.
9. Exporting reports to excel is also a problem.Overall: Buildsmart is a very useful software for a construction field and the support we are getting from "Lals Software" is outstanding.

Good day and thank you for your valued feedback! Over the past two years a large amount of development work has been put into BuildSmart to specifically address some of the draw backs that you have raised. An example of this is the new Crystal reports engine that once installed on your server will remove many of the frustrations you have mentioned with regards to being able to generate reports as it removes the need for many of the end user settings. In addition, once the new Crystal reports has been installed you will be able to run both BuildSmart Accounts and Procurement directly in Chrome. We understand the Subcontractor Recon (Invoice) format looks complicated, but this was designed specifically for your regional requirement to address the multiple taxes of GST and TDS, multiple types of advance payments and different retentions and the different rules applicable to each of these line items. There are multiple scenarios to cater to with each one having to be controlled, posted, and reported on in the correct process updating the Balance Sheet controls as well as costing to the correct contract, cost code and activity at the same time controlling advance payments, retentions, and back charges from the first certificate to the final account all in a onetime entry in real time. We would welcome the opportunity to setup an online session with Lals Software and you and your team to go through this process in detail for you to understand the process better, remove the confusion and explain how the rules are applied. We are very pleased to hear about the great level of support that you are receiving from Lals Software, if you could table your request for a Purchase register with them detailing what you would like to see on such a report this could be investigated to see how it could be added. Pros: Tracking seems to be very user friendly. Most of the difficulties of a QS has been well taken care by this software apart from below (CONS).
Cons: 1) Noticed precision errors.For eg: At times when qtys are with recurring decimals work done amounts differs the work done amount carried from candy.
2) Exceeded qtys are not entertained.Practically variations cant be floated for any slight increase in qtys as against booked in the contract.Overall: Fantastic. Pleasure to work on this software. Most of the aspects of a QS has been taken care. Hope the above concerns shall be taken care to make it a more feasible.

Good day, Thank you for your valued review. With regards to the precision differences that has been addressed via an update, please ensure your BuildSmart Accounts and Procurement have been updated to the latest versions. With regards to placing limits on exceeding quantities this is role based, and so if required a senior user could have their role adjusted to allow them to exceed the final quantity. Kind regards -

Pros: A software created by the people who know the industry. Most of the construction industries problem are addressed. Affordable to midsize firms. very good service support.
Cons: The workspace is more text driven than graphic. Reports are not yet visual data and complicated for further processing. still not chrome compatible and mobile access also not well setup. Lack of a well developed mobile application.
Overall: Overall the software serve the day to day purpose of mid size construction company with full functionality in affordable price. Good workflow management also.

Good day, thank you for your feedback. Please look at the new Contract, Financial and Procurement dashboards that were released in April 2021, these have been designed to give our users a real time graphical overview of key metrics, based directly of the BuildSmart data to ensure a single source of the truth. We are also making strong progress on full Chrome compatibility and expect to have this fully released by the end of 2021, well ahead of the end of life for Internet explorer. Both the Accounts and Procurement modules can be run directly in Chrome, provided the new report viewer has been installed. With regards to accessing BuildSmart on a mobile device, the BuildSmart Mobi access point allows for on the move approvals, deliveries, stock issues and plant return capturing amongst other features from anywhere at any time.
