Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros What I like most is how Field Force Tracker centralizes our entire service operation. From the moment a work order comes in, it's assigned, scheduled, and tracked with full visibility for both office and field staff. The best part about Field Force Tracker is how much real world context it gives our staffing decisions. Before FFT, our scheduling process was exhausting. We were using a mix of whiteboards, phone calls, and Excel sheets. Technicians would often miss updates, or we’d double book crews without realizing. Now, with Field Force Tracker, I can assign jobs in just a few clicks, view real time crew availability, and instantly communicate updates to their mobile app. What stands out most to me about Field Force Tracker is how it effortlessly bridges the gap between management and field teams. In service industries like HVAC, plumbing, and security, keeping track of where your technicians are, what jobs they’re working on, and how efficiently they’re completing tasks is crucial and this platform nails it. From realtime technician tracking to seamless job assignment and invoice automation, the platform transforms routine dispatching into a strategic leadership opportunity. Cons One minor issue is customization: while the platform is robust, there are areas (like invoice templates or specific reporting formats) where a bit more flexibility would go a long way. Field Force Tracker works great on its own, but what I’d love to see is better integration with external HR or recruiting tools. The pain point area is the mobile app’s responsiveness in the field. Our technicians are often working in areas with low signal construction sites, basements, or remote buildings. The app occasionally freezes or struggles to upload photos or sync updates in real time. While Field Force Tracker excels in many areas, one aspect that could use improvement is the customization options for reporting. For companies managing diverse service teams, having more flexible, tailored reports would help in making data driven decisions faster. While the mobile app is robust, occasional syncing delays can occur when technicians operate in areas with limited connectivity.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros This software provides an all in one management experience. Through it, we are able to schedule work, track progress, get real time updates and information, including messaging and photos. Forms can be created to streamline the process causing us less filing and paper issues for things like safety and maintenance reports. This software has saved us a lot of money and administrative time. With servicem8 you can manage simple or highly complex operations involving invoicing or store data management processes. In terms of field services servicem8 has tools to connect to databases within different clouds, either to manage electronic signatures or online invoicing requiring mobile or routing tools. The fact that the platform is very stable/future proof - due to the fact that it has been designed with iOS in mind! The simplicity of design also shines through, when it demonstrates that a sole trader to the MD of a multi branch business can pick up the APP with basic training and deliver massive efficiency savings - within busy organisations. Cons I can honestly say I do not have any complainants about this software so far. Within servicem8 we can annotate and prioritize all our work orders depending on which client we want to give more importance at the moment, and that is enough to not give servicem8 a negative review. We liked that the platform integrates so many tools for scheduling processes. The (sometimes) limiting functionality! With this in mind, the clear and transparent reason for ServiceM8’s existence is to remove inefficiency from modern service based businesses. If there is a better way of working, which improves the lot of its core market - they will listen and take all feedback into consideration when developing core product. There are also third party development companies that have and will develop Add-Ons and specific ‘tools’ if and when required.
