Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Firstly, I like that Evernote is a tool that improves productivity over time with the variety of features that it provides to users who want to explore the flexibility of annotating digitally. Among my favorite features of Evernote, there are: Tools to organize: This is probably my most favorite and most important to me personally, Evernote has the ability to organize notes in many, many ways. The creation of notebooks, tags, and stacks to organize the files in different manners makes it easy to find the information quickly and in a timely manner. Additionally, the search function of Evernote works pretty well and it is smart enough to find different files with only certain keywords or tags, which makes it pretty useful when one is trying to dig up an old file in a pile of new ones. Synchronization: Because the software is available in multiple devices, it is easy to access it everywhere, both remotely and in the office. Even when I am outside, I can easily open Evernote to access my notes and files to check something or change something that comes up urgently, and the offline access on the go is something that is very important and Evernote understands that very well. Collaboration: It is an important aspect of every product and I think that it should be included in every software nowadays that remote working is becoming more popular with the rise of technology and other trends, and Evernote's way of sharing notes and files with other users make it so much simpler to collaborate on different projects because we are able to work simultaneously while chatting about the project inside of the application. Integration: Not only the availability of the application in multiple devices is important, but also the integration and implementation with other third-party apps and services to make the workflow smoother. Evernote integrates with many applications that I use on my day-to-day tasks and it allows me to keep a good workflow and easily transfer data from these apps to Evernote, and viceversa. Customization: The amount of customization allowed in Evernote is endless, andn I like how I am able to change different aspects of my notebooks and overall all the files I create to make a unique file every single time, the amount of choices when it comes to colors, fonts, and formatting, as well as the addition of multimedia such as images to the files make it so easy to let the creativity flow when doing the action of note-taking in Evernote, it is extremely flexible and it makes the process of using Evernote so much more freeing than other solutions, because it allows me to do the things the way I want to and it does not feel limiting at all when it comes to customization. Collection of information: Evernote has an unique way of being able to collect information that I have not seen in any other note-taking application, and it is the extension that allows the recollection of websites and articles that one can see while browsing the internet, and it is an amazing tool that allows me to save important information for later and to easily collect information for a project that might be essential for it. The best thing I like about Evernote that makes it my preferred note-taking platform is that it can be easily integrated with other platforms which allow me to both share and access my notes with others, plus I can share notes and collaborate on projects with my team. All of this has allowed me to ensure that my notes are always up to date when I'm working as a team and that changes to the notes are reflected in the platforms that I've synced with Evernote. Anything to do with the ability to keep notes organized and easy to find has been great about Evernote. This platform has made it easy for me to have all my notes and information organized in one place, the functions it has adapt to the different needs and preferences I have when taking notes within this platform, in addition to its interface being very simple. to maneuver so this makes notetaking even easier. The Evernote search engine is very useful, it has been very precise in the search for some information or note that I have within this platform, it can find notes even if I have written them by hand, thus being able to locate the necessary information very quickly. This saves a lot of time when I need to find something within a bunch of notes created where manually searching would waste time finding what I need. Regarding the fact that Evernote can search for notes even if they were written by hand, I was surprised that it has this feature since it can recognize my handwriting even though I know that my handwriting is not perfect, so it is very useful for me. utility that can detect what I have written. In addition, the text is automatically converted to digital, making this an excellent option to share more easily without the person with whom I have shared my notes struggling to understand what I have written. I use this feature a lot because it's easier for me to take notes by hand than doing everything through a keyboard, I feel like I'm much faster writing in pencil than doing it with a keyboard. The way Evernote allows me to take notes from anywhere in the world is amazing, one main feature that I like about this platform is that they offer me the ability to write notes even when I don't have an active Internet connection on my devices, I can be using my mobile device and write a note within this platform without the need for an Internet connection, in addition, the platform will automatically synchronize each written note with the cloud a la Reyes when there is an Internet connection, to be able to access it from my computer or from any other device. Another positive aspect that can be found within this platform is that you can integrate it with the Google Calendar system, to add specific notes to specific days and you can share that information with your clients or with your employees, I really love the integration it has this platform with Google Calendar, because it allows me to integrate any type of note to any exact date. * The filters are very complete and detailed, allowing you to locate a note or a set of notes faster than doing it manually. When I mean that it is very complete, I mean that you can search for notes by tags, which notebooks they are in or some date, you can also activate all these filters simultaneously to have more accurate search results. This has helped me to more easily locate notes from a long time ago, it is also easy to find a note among so many notes that I create daily because it is very easy to get lost and confuse notes with very similar content. The "contains" filter is very handy, it has several commands (so to speak) of the ways this filter can be used, ranging from keywords to file type, websites or some number, so there is no limit when wanting to search for something with this type of filter. * Scratch pad allows me to create simpler notes since through this I can add notes without having to make such advanced configurations, but simply write the text that I want to add and that's it my note will remain as if it were a widget since it is it can overlay other notes without interrupting any notes, and it can also be moved anywhere on the screen. With this feature I can easily keep screenshots of any website and have it available on any device that has Evernote downloaded on it, so I don't have to worry about digging through my phone or desktop to locate a previously saved page. You can also easily annotate the screenshots of the websites saved within this platform, so I don't have to use third-party platforms to annotate things that seemed important to me within a screenshot, also for greater ease you can add these screenshots inside a created book and in turn put a label that allows easy location. Evernote is an incredible platform to be able to take all kinds of notes, whether it be text-type notes or notes in the form of a drawing, in the same way you can store all these notes within a database system, which will facilitate the sharing of these notes with your colleagues or your friends. I really love that it has many functions to optimize the customization of each of the notes that I have created, this platform allows me to personalize the notes in a much broader way, this platform that allows the use of different templates that are better in each note that I have created, also How can I modify the background of each one of the notes by adding a solid color or using an image as the background, this extensive customization really helped me to create quite striking notes with a much more interactive design, I have loved this customization since previously I had been using other note-taking platforms that were not capable of offering extensive customization, however, with this platform I was able to completely modify the interface of each of the comma notes by adding a different interface for each of them and modifying the colors of each note. Cons Evernote has a good set of features that compliment each other, however, I think that the cost and its pricing plans can be somewhat limiting, the free plan offers the usage of the application to only to devices and there is a limit in how much you can upload to your notebooks, which is kind of bothersome when you're working on a project. That being said, I also think that the premium plan is kind of expensive and it offers other tools that I don't find myself using all of the time but I am still being charged for it. The way that Evernote offers its tools make it difficult to learn how to use each of them, and the complexity of navigating the product is there, as it can be very overwhelming to start using it when its interface is quite unique and different from other similar softwares. However, it is not something that might stop you from using Evernote altogether as the learning curve can be complex but not impossible. Finally, there are not many bad things that I have experienced while using Evernote, I believe its functionality is pretty good, but I do have experienced some issues when syncing my devices, it happened twice that my information was lost because the devices weren't synced, and when they synced, the progress that I had done with one of my projects got deleted all of a sudden with no chance of recovering. Not everything is perfect with Evernote, it has some disadvantages that I think can be crucial when making decisions about whether to use this platform or look for alternatives that do not have these problems that I am going to mention. The functionality and storage space of a free version of this platform is very limited, so it will not be possible to work forever in this way. To use Evernote more professionally, you have to checkout before you can use it. more frequently this platform.
