Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Dropbox Paper is awesome. I like that we can all collaborate in one single place at the same time and use this tool to increase our productivity and increase collaboration. Dropbox Paper is a solution that allows me to create files inside the Dropbox application and write on them as I would do on my local writing solution, but the difference is that all team members on a project can participate on it and work simultaneously on the same file. This tool is great for every step of a project, from the starting phase where we have to brainstorm ideas and everyone can input their research, to the final phase where we have to do our final edits of a file, it is a smart solution where my team members can do their tasks without needing editing permissions every time and without wasting time keeping up with emails of new versions of a file. Dropbox Paper allows for multiple additions of multimedia, such as Youtube links, videos, embedded images, and more, which makes the brainstorming stage so much easier to get through when we have a visual addition to all our ideas and it can positively impact our final decisions towards a project. I like that Dropbox Paper has multiple tools that track the stages of a project such as creating due dates for files and creating to-do lists for different documents, this makes it so easy for everyone to know what to do and when certain things are due. This software has a great and simple platform that makes the creation of documents so simple without all the cluttered tools that other softwares have, and I can see who’s working on certain parts of a project thanks to the identifier pointer that tells me when someone is working on the same document as me.
  • Helps to share information and organize ideas more easily if you and your colleagues are using Dropbox often already.
  • -comes for free with Dropbox -great for online meeting notes, collaborative design and/or planning sessions -integrated as its own document format in the Dropbox interface -great for media integration/presentation -allows the creation of templates to start from
  • Dropbox Paper is a cloud-based data system that makes collaboration easy. You can create, sketch and share anything from a quick task list to item specifications, marketing materials and legal files. Your records are dynamic and you can also track changes, as well as view previous variations.
  • Dropbox Paper has a very clean interface. It is also a very simple item in general, which is not hindered by many unnecessary attributes. The files developed on Dropbox Paper are quite impressive too, as you can quickly add / edit messages, leave comments, add tables, photos and also install various other media. The interface is not crowded and well thought out, ensuring that you can focus on your content.

Cons

  • There are many dislikes that I have towards Dropbox Paper, which are the following: -Because of the simplicity, Dropbox Paper feels quite limited and falls short in the variability of fonts and more editing tools that are not available in this solution. This often causes huge disadvantages when we are working on more extensive and not simple documents because we don’t have much control about the text colors or the text sizes because Dropbox Paper doesn’t offer much tools and we have to make do with the basic ones. -Dropbox Paper does not have a spell check tool, and it is a huge dislike for me as it means that we have to do the spelling check in a third-party application after we’re finished with a document, which honestly seems like an unnecessary step because most collaborative tools have this feature already, but Dropbox Paper is still lacking on this. -They could improve the to-do lists tool to have a more arranged and general view of all the things that we have to do instead of only having it assigned to one member, right now this feature feels limited and I would like to have more control and customization around it.
  • It isn't as widely used as Google Docs, so it may not be as easy to share docs.
  • -a confusing concept, not well marketed/documented -does not seem to evolve further -limited use cases
  • It can often be challenging to see which friend on the team added which sections / edits. Small member editions can go unnoticed. Much more considerable editions, however, are attributed to the individual who made them.
  • Nothing really, it's a big improvement for the Dropbox family of products. The only concern is probably the lack of control over email alerts. It certainly would have been wonderful if they allowed users to send e-mail alerts to all customers about the document after it was actually edited. This would certainly indicate to several other customers that the registry is ready to receive your information.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Quip is one of the best collaboration tool platforms ever seen, it provides an extensive interface that contributes to teamwork in an optimal way. We have been using it for its Smart Inbox interface, which has given us the convenience of interacting through different means with our work colleagues to maintain a more active and integrated work, always in real time. It has a large storage capacity for all our documents, which makes it easy for us to make comments and notes, thus maintaining constant progress in our projects and reviewing notes that can correct important aspects. Similarly, it is possible to edit and customize documents within the platform, be it documents or spreadsheets. It also creates the perfect environment for task management, creating a perfect space to plan events and capture tasks in chronological order to achieve all our projects. Likewise, we have made Quip accessible, we can use it either on our computer in the office or wherever we are if we must be outside through our cell phone and in this way stay active in our work.
  • Quip helps to increase collaboration between teams. The user interface is clean and minimal on both mobile and desktop. Easy to create tasks and reminders. Also, it supports Salesforce data extraction.
  • Quip helps me visualize a better solution in collaborating with documents of all kinds, spreadsheets, Word, and more. It has an internal chat that helps me provide a better working relationship between team members. I also like Quip because it has a fascinating display.
  • I need to share documents with my co-workers; Quip makes everything so much simpler and more accessible. I can make revision changes and updates for new users. I use it daily to take important notes. It has been essential for noting down any details and then sharing them. I can use the features quickly; it has good support and lots of information on web forums. It's perfect; use it in your organization.
  • You can easily include this tool with your team to improve team collaboration. No setup and using complexity on this platform. Chat, documentation and other in one salesforce spot.

Cons

  • Without a good internet connection, the updates that we make in the documents are not synchronized correctly, it is then that we constantly lose information, this error is optimal to be modified, an update that guarantees that our data is not lost would give security to our workflow. The cost seems too expensive to me, the platform is excellent and without a doubt it allows us to access an essential utility for our work, however, it can be more economically accessible for all small companies and that it is possible to develop teamwork as Quip tools allow. The learning curve is a bit high; it takes a bit of time to bring the thread to the platform completely and make everything work as an integrated system, the training is good, and the customer support is also good, but it takes a while to fully adapt.
  • Till now haven't experienced any downside about this platform.
  • I would like them to improve functions such as drag and drop; besides the support is slow to solve failures urgently.
  • They should have more synchronization with external platforms; the integrations are very few, and configuring them is difficult.
  • We are having a great experience. No cons. Happy users.
