About

Take your work everywhere. Code while you're waiting for the bus or when you're relaxing in a nice beach. Edit your files directly from the cloud. DroidEdit works with Dropbox, Drive, Box, (S)FTP servers and Git. More file providers coming shortly. Syntax highlighting for almost 200 different programming languages. Don't rush to your office if you receive an emergency call asking you to change some code. Just pick your mobile phone and edit everything you need. Checkout, edit, commit and push directly from your phone or tablet. Some developers prefer dark backgrounds, others can only code on paper white screens. To each his own. Use one of the many provided themes for syntax highlighting. If you don't like any, create your own. Expand simple expressions into full fledged HTML code automagically using Emmet.

About

If we're being honest, Mac apps are a bit of a lost art. There are great reasons to make cross-platform apps — to start, they're cross-platform — but it's just not who we are. Founded as a Mac software company in 1997, our joy at Panic comes from building things that feel truly, well, Mac-like. Long ago, we created Coda, an all-in-one Mac web editor that broke new ground. But when we started work on Nova, we looked at where the web was today, and where we needed to be. It was time for a fresh start. It all starts with our first-class text-editor. It's new, hyper-fast, and flexible, with all the features you want: smart autocomplete, multiple cursors, a Minimap, editor overscroll, tag pairs and brackets, and way, way more. For the curious, Nova has built-in support for CoffeeScript, CSS, Diff, ERB, Haml, HTML, INI, JavaScript, JSON, JSX, Less, Lua, Markdown, Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby, Sass, SCSS, Smarty, SQL, TSX, TypeScript, XML, and YAML.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • i cant say that i like it or it is likable or that anyone would like it or that its likable.

Cons

  • First off (Download a torrent of Nova and use that. It is not worth a 100 dollars and a bigger reason why is that not only do you have to pay 100 dollars to start , you dont get free updates. You have to pay for those yearly!! Second Reason, they are deceptive with theirmarketing the edtior as if its some grand piece of eye candy! The themes that are available and im not joking 90%of themlookthrown together and look terrible. You would sware that whoever wrote the them was colorblind. How do you put #fe65df over a bright blue background and think that looks good!! And the syntax highlighting system is css based and DOES NOT support semantic tokens period. They have no live preview, themes are hard to learn to build and dont do the syntxthe right justice.
