About

Devart MCP Server Universal is a self-hosted Windows application that connects AI tools to databases, cloud services, and other ODBC-accessible sources through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). It uses configured ODBC drivers and data source names to route natural-language requests, generate and execute structured queries, and return results to the AI client. A single server can provide access to multiple connected sources, including SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics 365, NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, Snowflake, and Zoho services. It supports MCP-compatible clients such as Claude, Cursor, Visual Studio Code, Codex, Windsurf, Cline, and Zed. The server runs within an organization's own environment, giving developers, database administrators, data engineers, analysts, and operations teams a way to query internal business data through their preferred AI tools.

About

FastMCP is an open source, Pythonic framework for building Model Context Protocol (MCP) applications that makes creating, managing, and interacting with MCP servers simple and production-ready by handling the protocol’s complexity so developers can focus on business logic. The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is a standardized way for large language models to securely connect to tools, data, and services, and FastMCP provides a clean API to implement that protocol with minimal boilerplate, using Python decorators to register tools, resources, and prompts. A typical FastMCP server is created by instantiating a FastMCP object, decorating Python functions as tools (functions the LLM can invoke), and then running the server with built-in transport options like stdio or HTTP; this lets AI clients call into your code as if it were part of the model’s context.
