Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Calendly boasts ease of use from initial setup to scheduling appointments, the interface is highly intuitive and easy to use. Even for those who aren't particularly tech-savvy, it's very easy to navigate and get started. Another feature that is useful and that I like is its flexibility. It offers various types of appointments, including one-on-one meetings, group meetings, and even free-for-all meetings. This versatility allows me to create a variety of different types of meetings based on my needs, whether it be for internal team meetings or external client meetings. Another aspect that I appreciate is the customization of the software. Calendly allows me to customize my schedule page with my brand and logo, which makes it look more professional and consistent with my overall brand image. Also, I can create custom appointment types and tailor them to specific requirements, such as the duration of the appointment or the information I need from the attendees. I can set different availability for different types of appointments, or I can set a buffer time between meetings to give myself a break. I also appreciate the ability to send automatic reminders to both me and the person I'm meeting with, which helps ensure that we both arrive on time and prepared. Calendly helps me save time by automating the scheduling process. Instead of spending countless hours going back and forth with clients to find a mutually convenient meeting time, Calendly allows me to send them a link to my calendar with preset availability options, and they can choose the time that works best for them. This eliminates the need for multiple emails, phone calls, or text messages, which can be time consuming and frustrating. Among the most outstanding features of Calendly is its ability to integrate with other software and tools that I use. It connects seamlessly with my Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook, allowing me to manage my schedule without having to manually enter appointments in multiple locations. It also integrates with popular video conferencing software like Zoom and GoToMeeting, making it incredibly convenient for scheduling and running virtual meetings with clients and team members. The reminders and notifications that Calendly provides are also incredibly helpful. I can set automatic reminders for attendees, which helps reduce no-shows and keeps everyone on the same page. In addition, I receive email and SMS notifications when someone books an appointment, allowing me to stay on top of my schedule and avoid potential conflicts. Calendly's reporting features have been invaluable to me in terms of tracking my scheduling habits and identifying areas where I can improve. The platform offers detailed analytics on everything from the number of appointments I've scheduled to the average length of my meetings, helping me spot patterns and adjust my scheduling strategy accordingly. Calendly's customer support is excellent. Their team is responsive, knowledgeable, and always available to help with any issues or questions you may have. They have a wealth of resources available, including a knowledge base, video tutorials, and webinars, making it easy to get up to speed and fix any issues. Packing all the features together, Calendly is an essential tool for anyone who needs to schedule appointments and manage their time effectively. Its intuitive interface, flexibility, customizability, integration with other software, and excellent customer support make it a top-notch scheduling software.
  • Very handle tool to have. Rather than going back and forth with having conversations on your availability with people, you can simply send them your Calendly link to see what’s available and people can schedule meetings fairly easily.
  • Saves a substantial amount of time by covering the mundane clerical or scheduling calls. Easy to maintain and keep updated. Solid customization capabilities. Great integration features.
  • Calendly saves me time as it is so much easier to send out an email requesting individuals to put time on my calendar for a meeting instead of me having to call each person to schedule a meeting.
  • Calendly is a great booking tool to avoid scheduling back and fourth. I have used it for years. They offer a great free version that lets you have good functionality to test it out. Of all the free options, it's my favorite.

Cons

  • Among the drawbacks that we have presented, we find that some of the menu options are not very intuitive, so it can be difficult to find certain settings that I want to adjust, and the way the platform organizes its various functions and settings could be clearer. Also, some of the color schemes used in the interface can be a bit overwhelming, making it difficult to read and navigate the platform. Another issue presented would be that some features are only available with certain price levels, the ability to schedule group meetings or customize branding is only available with the higher price plans. While I understand the need for a tiered pricing structure, it can be frustrating to feel like I'm missing out on important features because I can't afford to upgrade to a more expensive plan, I understand that value for money goes hand in hand and this comes at a price, it would be nice Being able to have a much friendlier and more open platform to provide better payment options and cost alternatives to be able to access those functions that might be of real use to us. While Calendly integrates with a wide range of other tools, I've found that some integrations aren't as seamless as I'd like. I've been having trouble syncing between Calendly and certain calendar apps, leading to scheduling conflicts that I need to manually resolve, if I don't realize this it can disrupt my workflow and disrupt an entire business day, which can become tedious. Calendly's time zone support can be inconsistent at times, which can cause confusion and programming errors. While the platform allows you to set your time zone and the time zone of your guests, there have been cases where the time zone setting has not worked correctly. This can lead to missed appointments or double bookings, which can be frustrating for everyone involved. Calendly integrates with many tools, there are some that it doesn't integrate with. This can be a problem for our team that depends on these tools daily, as it can lead to a disjointed workflow and the need to switch between different tools.
  • Lack of customizable options and integrations is the only negative for Calendly.
  • Could have a more appealing layout. Not easy to access preview for what candidates may see.
  • I use the cheaper version which naturally doesn't provide as many options. So, if you want more from the platform you do have to pay more, but most systems are like that.
  • I would like it if they integrated with Outreach so that I could link up email automation with it when someone books with me. I think they have built in automation in the paid version, but I use outreach for outbound so I'd love to connect those two.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Google Calendar is a service that began to be present in this company mainly because it was very important for us to have an organization for each of our plans, for different dates of the month. This platform emerged as the main solution to organize it correctly within the planning. of activities, meetings or events for specific dates. One of the first things I liked about it anyway is how affordable its plans are, as it charges very little money for the basic plan for each user per month, compared to other platforms that charge you more than double what Google charges. Calendar for a monthly subscription. The main reason why Kat takes note of these prices is because I was very impressed that we could have an administration of each of the events for specific dates without having to pay so much money, access to Google Calendar was quite accessible with respect to the prices that they offered us, I really loved the number of affordable plans that this platform offered me, it is very cheap compared to platforms like Calendly. The main feature that I liked in relation to the functions of this platform is that it offered me immediate synchronization with all the schedules that were carried out in my company's calendar, that means that all the schedules are synchronized in real time, I can view the calendar and see all the schedules for events, meetings or activities that involve our entire company for specific dates, the business plan offered me Google Calendar allows me to have a real-time view of all the schedules of my company, for For example, if a colleague has registered a new schedule for five days from now, I can view that schedule immediately from the Google Calendar application on my mobile phone, this helps me a lot since I can register any type of event or schedule for a date and all my employees will be aware of that event and the date and time to be held, in this way they can attend immediately. Another of the features that I liked about this platform is the excellent notification and alert system that it has, since every time I have created a schedule for a specific date within Google Calendar for companies, the notification and a half of the application of the mobile phone of each one of my employees, in addition, they also receive a notification in their emails, which helps each one to be informed about all the planning that is done within this company calendar. Another feature that I liked about this platform is its access within the web version within a browser, since I can access my calendar using a browser, this is impressive since Google Calendar is not only available for mobile devices, but also that you can also manage and plan new events or meetings for specific dates using my computer, in addition, Google Calendar has an excellent synchronization system between devices, therefore, all the grades that you make from the computer will be fully displayed from my version for mobile devices.
  • Interview, meeting and time block scheduling is so easy to do. The best thing about Google calendar is how it is integrates with so many platforms. I love being able to use Calendly, Greenhouse, Google Meet, etc. and how easy it is use the Google calendar on these platforms.
  • I like that Google Calendar is tightly integrated with the google mail, chromeOS and android platforms. The ability to view multiple calendars at the same time helps keep my personal and business schedules well sorted out. The ability to share/delegate calendars is helpful for an assistant or other team member. Within our organization it helps with organizing/scheduling meetings. I like the ability to configure reminders as "Notifications" and "Emails".
  • Free software to manage multiple calendars. Super easy to ad multiple users. Works on so many different platforms.
  • - I love the way most stuff on android has an option that lets you add a reminder to your Google Calendar. It makes it so easy to just press it and not worry about forgetting it.

Cons

  • One of the main negative features of this platform is that it does not have variety when it comes to choosing some colors for the tasks or events that you add for a specific date, there is currently a function to choose the density and set of colors for each event that you register within the calendar, however, the only two options available are the modern style and the classic style, since it adds a white text to Black text to the planning that you make, however, you cannot add text with a color of free choice, you cannot choose the color you want for this rating you are doing. The second negative thing that this platform has is that it does not have an attendance confirmation system for each of the events that was entered into my calendar, it is very easy to avoid events and add descriptions and reminders for the people who will participate in this event However, currently there is no system for these participants to confirm their attendance for the event, this function is relatively necessary since it would help to avoid no-shows at our events, in addition, it would help us to send reminders only to people who have confirmed their support for our event. The third negative thing about this platform is that you cannot share an event that you have registered within your calendar, to an external platform, for example, you cannot share an event plan to a communication channel like WhatsApp or Telegram, it would be excellent to be able to use the Google Calendar mobile app and share all these events immediately with my messaging apps, currently this feature is available, as I can only create events and add the participants to send reminders and invitations, but I can't send the creation of that event through messaging applications.
  • The one con that I can think of is how slow my Google Calendar app on my phone syncs. There are many times a meeting is added or cancelled on my calendar that shows up on my computer, but not on my phone. I can't rely on my app 24/7.
  • With Google Apps for business the calendar function automatically adds a google handouts link which causes confusion for clients/potential clients if I don't go in and turn off the hangouts.
  • Honestly can’t think of any. Doesn’t integrate well with Microsoft outlook. Other than that great software.
  • - I have not observed any downsides of the Google Calendar so far.
