Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Easy to use Reliability Price of subscription Ability to use anywhere anytime - web based Excellent support Multiple options for custom forms to suit my business needs. Access anywhere with an internet connection. Ability to create progress reports to track everything about the jobs being entered. The program is web-based and in real time. I do not have to wait for a "cycle" over night. The layout of the system in scheduling the jobs makes it easy to set up a job. Gantt charts/scheduling of task can be from a template or one of your own templates per employee or sub-contractor. Due to our client base, it really has turned into our data base for return clients Support from the BuildIT Systems crew. Scheduling and setting up templates to suit your needs, communication within the company and trades, easy to customize layout, no real problems that were not handled by the developers immediately. I especially like how everything is organized by Job and Folder. So no matter who received the email or uploaded the file, it is really easy to find. I like being able to see everyone's emails in one click. The search function is fast and thorough. Build IT really keeps everyone in our company on the same page, and has been critical in keeping us efficient. The customer service is great, too! Cons Nothing. We used BuildIT for 7 years and can honestly say that there are no cons for us. No comments to make. No dislikes at this time, The only Con, and it is not the fault of the program.... If the internet is on the blink, or poor service, it is difficult to continue doing business with paper and pen. Have had problems on different browser platforms, ability to categorize files. There is no "Download All Attachments" option. Every now and then someone will send me 10 attachments, and I have to download each individually.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros There are many positives with this program, the various features are nicely explained within the program and are easy to use. For example, the GANTT chart features and customization options provides a wonderful illustration of the tasks and overall course of the project. The user interface of the product is excellent and meets or exceeds other Microsoft branded products. It has helped my team stay on track with projects in our office, allows for us to see the trajectory of the next few months in a detailed way, and has several layouts for folks to choose what is the best for them. My favorite part of projects is its integration with other Microsoft products, since my office uses these exclusively. It enhances the value of Projects, Teams, etc since they all work seamlessly together! Microsoft Project allows firms to be in charge of all the procedures and operations that are conducted within the company. More so, Microsoft Project brings accuracy in terms of payments and costs management. Further, Microsoft Project concentrates on better cloud space, for projects and database. This program is great for the price that you pay for. It has all the features that you would need to create schedules, log time, manpower, cost to it like other programs for less cost. Microsoft Project is very user friendly and easy to pick up. It's great for creating and updating construction schedules. Cons I had access to Microsoft Project via my educational institution and I used this access for both academic projects and personal usage. That said my only real con for this program is the cost, the cost for this product is fairly high and the yearly subscription for the on-premise versions varies from several hundred to over a thousand which is cost-prohibitive to many smaller entities. There was a steep learning curve to the software, and I still feel like we are not utilizing it fully. There are lots of online forums and guides, but it is not as user friendly as I'd like it to be on its own. Microsoft Project is a stable and focused program for managing all operations, however, Microsoft Project requires a swift price control, to bring more clients. There is better management of operations using Microsoft Project, but credible price rates are vital. It's a bit of a learning curve using this program but once you get a hang of it then it's really easy to use and update. I don't really like the cost/accounting portion of Project. It may be helpful to some, but I prefer to keep the accounting portion out of my project schedule.
