Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros The filtering possibilities are very fine the reporting is powerful detection of harmful content in google workspace is useful. The teacher features "just work" and teachers love it. of course, students hate it ;) It filters out most bad things for education, like things that are inappropriate, such as including violence, curse words (still doesn't block some of them), and assault. Cons There is quite a learning curve since the possibilities are fine. we sometimes feel there is too many abstraction layers and we can feel lost as administrators. It blocks things completely appropriate for school and home. It blocks things that could also possibly help education, such as Zoom. It has even blocked new tabs before. It's irritated all the other people I know that have to use it.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros The most comprehensive LMS out there. From daily classroom tasks, to reporting, to board-wide analytics that can drill down to the student level, it does it all! Very teacher/student - centric (i.e. designed for ease of use by the teacher and student = easy to navigate, very intuitive GUI, very rich environment.) Probably the most important feature for teachers is that it has the fewest clicks to accomplish a given task... who has time for clicking through layers of panels? In the back end the administration is equally simple. It will connect to any database (they'll write custom query code if your SIS - like ours - is unique) The ability to push and pull data is critical, does all the usual SSO and interoperability things too. Cons Because it is such a rich environment there is a need for some basic education/training, especially for parents who tend not to read instructions very well :-) Edsby has a decent support site with videos etc for parents (and other roles) but I think there's a bit of information overload at first? The support is a bit hit and miss - because of the constant development of the product there is a lot going on, their developers seem overloaded at times. And, it would be nice if they had an integrated SIS for smaller schools. You do need an external data source to provision the system.
