Pros: -PikMyKid is a very easy app to use.
-Allows you other people you trust to pick up your kids.
-Amazing customer service.

Cons: I don't have any cons regarding the PikMyKid app.

Overall: Life is chaotic, especially when you have kids. PikMyKid make school pick up easy and safe for the school, students and parents.

Pros: So easy to announce when I’m at the school to pick up my little one or even assign to someone else that day. Plus, even grandma finds it easy to use when she picks up.

Cons: I have not had any issues with this app as it has worked great.

Overall: Great service for the second year in a row. This app has made the afternoon pick up line move so quickly.

Pros: The app is useful to the school to manage kids getting picked up (when it works). Glad there is an app to mange pick up.

Cons: I don't really find it user friendly. I have to log out and log back in most of the time to reset. Then when I am at school or close to school sometimes it does not work.
It's hard to manage weekly pickup related to after school care. Also find it difficult to assign other people for pickup.

Overall: When it works it works out fine. It just needs some user friendly tweaks to make it a bit better for parents.

Pros: My child was able to clearly see her number and be prepared for pick up. Additional safety feature and moved the carpool line faster.

Cons: I did not like using my phone in the carpool line. Also, the application did not always work.

Overall: It was a good carpool system. It was easy for my parents to use for their grandchildren. The display in the cafeteria was large.

Pros: Safety! Love that it's secure with specific names of who is picking up my child. Ease of checking in and notifying staff pickup person is there and ready. Seems more streamlined with the process so the pickup li e doesn't back up and waiting time is less.

Cons: Not able to update delegation close to dismissal "unable to update delegate" . I feel that if I need to make a last minute change for my child's delegated person I'm not able to change it.

Overall: I feel that it lessens the confusion of the child's pick up process and I also like that the kids are not congregating together, considering covid, at the pick up line. As long as the parents are diligent and checkin or delegate appropriately it makes the process smooth.

Pros: Easy to use. Easy, convenient.

Cons: Nothing significant, it took me a bit to understand how it works. When do not use it for a while I forget.

Overall: Like it, adds safety to the process. Know my kid has been picked up and by who. Facilitates pooling among parents.

Pros: Simple, easy to use with one hand while driving. Instantly notifies school at drop-off and pick-up. The link to Google Maps is convenient for assessing traffic.

Cons: No system to notify the school AFAIK that a student will not be attending class or will be late for some reason.

Overall: Simple notification app that notifies the school that kids are symptom free from COVID on drop-off, and announces that their ride home is ready at pick-up.

Pros: It does what it's supposed to do - make sure that my kid isn't picked up by a stranger. It also allows other to be delegated to pick up my kid when I can't.

Cons: It's not the most intuitive application to be honest. Adding Delegates should be easier. Also, the fact that you can't change a Delegate on the same day is absurd, IMHO. If I need a last minute change, I should be able to do that.

Overall: I appreciate the application from a safety point of view - that's great. It could be more intuitive and allow delegates to be assigned on the day of pick up.

Pros: User friendly (easy to use) and easy to navigate.
Aesthetically simple and effective.
Notifications are not overwhelming.

Cons: Since using the app, there’s no identified issue I would highlight as a con.

Overall: A seamless app that promotes effective arrival and dismissal. Each time I check in my child’s arrival and announce my arrival for pick up, I don’t have to struggle to think about whether or not my child’s educational organization is held accountable - it’s second nature to know that he’s accounted for when he arrives and when he’s dismissed.

Pros: Easy to use, make changes, and add/change students delegated pick up people. Great when you helping a fellow caretaker or when you kid decides to have a study session with friends.

Cons: Sometimes the app will kick you out when you're in loop trying to mark them for pickup.

Overall: Works great and is better than the old system the school had. Especially now with covid, you don't have to tell someone who you're there to get.

Pros: I appreciate the safety measure that does not allow you to "announce" or request your child when you are not within 2 minutes from the school. I attempted to announce my child due to what seems like either my child taking his time to get ready to leave or the school not requesting the child. Leaving me waiting of upwards of 10+ minutes.
This feature ensures that my child is not outside while I am still on the road.

Cons: Do not have any cons about this app. I use it simply to request my child.

Overall: My experience has been great. When bought a new phone it was very easy to reactivate my account on the app.

Pros: Accuracy for kids being picked up is good enough. Can see there are safety benefits for parents, students and and for the school.

Cons: As a parent I don’t like having to use my phone while driving. Especially pulling into the school parking lot to announce, it is very distracting. The app does not make it easy to make changes to who is picking up, especially when there are changes to recurring carpool plans. It is not clear what the cut off time is to make any changes on the “day of” pick up.

As a teacher, the student status on the computer does not happen quick enough without delaying when to send student out.

Overall: It is frustrating and confusing, not user friendly. If there were more menu options with some instructions On how to make changes in the app that would be helpful.

Pros: Excellent application for collection and delivery, speeds up the process.

Cons: Nothing negative that decorates it.

Overall: It should be of indefinite use since it speeds up processes and we avoid being with several people at once.

Pros: It worked so well, and is efficient... it is easy to keep eyes on children because of this... it is well organised.

Cons: Customer service gives late responses.
You could work on user interface.

Overall: Overall experience is good and this app is trustworthy... and makes the work easy... so this app is quite useful.

Pros: The app is most reliable which helps in child dismissal process and it is much recommended to all parents.

Cons: The app sometimes goes blank and I need to sign out sign in to fix.

Overall: Overall its very satisfactory app in the store available for parents and guardians to manage the children.

Pros: I like that this app confirms that my children are still at the school and makes it super easy to organize picking them up.

Cons: My issues with the pickup line are more with the school itself. Not the app. The app works great!

Overall: I have been using this app for the last year or so and it makes picking my kids up from school super quick and easy!

Pros: PikMyKid is an extremely user-friendly and simple solution that provides a safe, quick pickup at school without the chaos of after school traffic Love it!

Cons: Occasionally when cell signal is weak, the app gets stuck trying to mark available for pickup. Location services will be active and accurate, but the app seems to be pulling bandwidth from data services to ping location.

Overall: Absolutely would recommend this app for any schools/parents that want an effective, organized, and efficient pickup line at school.

Pros: It's handy and updates quickly. It is easy to tell what you've selected with the bus icon, walking icon, pick up icon, etc.

Cons: Isn't easy to make a change for 1 day. I'm confused about how to change just one day's pick up and not mess with the default.

Overall: Would be helpful to be able to change both kids at once. It's frustrating to get into the app and have to do each child separately.

Pros: The app was introduced to us last year at our children’s primary school. They needed a way to control who and how many children were being released, especially with the threats of COVID. The biggest pro is that I feel like my children are safe inside until they are “released” via the app to me or an assigned pick-up partner. I really enjoy being able to decide in advance if I am walking vs. driving to pick up my children. Previously, when school was out so were hundreds of students and I’d wade in the sea of running primary students to find my own children.

Cons: I don’t feel like the app is the most advanced. It seems very basic, which is fine. However, I am not sure it’s the easiest if English wasn’t my first language or how it appears on anything other than an apple device.

Overall: I appreciate the safety features it offers parents. I also support my children’s school administrators who believe in this product and happy to contribute to the cost.
