Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros The filtering possibilities are very fine the reporting is powerful detection of harmful content in google workspace is useful. The teacher features "just work" and teachers love it. of course, students hate it ;) It filters out most bad things for education, like things that are inappropriate, such as including violence, curse words (still doesn't block some of them), and assault. Cons There is quite a learning curve since the possibilities are fine. we sometimes feel there is too many abstraction layers and we can feel lost as administrators. It blocks things completely appropriate for school and home. It blocks things that could also possibly help education, such as Zoom. It has even blocked new tabs before. It's irritated all the other people I know that have to use it.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros When it works, you can easily block internet and add students to the class. When it works, it has an easy to view whole-class interface. Literally nothing. It's the product we must use to watch our students' screens. There is nothing I can say that makes this product any good. Cons It rarely works for an entire day and is very slow to open individual screens if you want to see a particular student as opposed to the whole class. I do NOT recommend this product at all, unless you only want to monitor student screens occasionally. If you are trying to teach remotely/ virtually you will be frustrated every day, and so will the parents of your virtual students. For one, it gives teachers way too much control over students' screens. Everything is generic and does not allow you to do much to your student's computer. When I was a computer teacher with desktops LANschool was 1000% better.
