About

Even if you've never used beading software before, you'll have no problem unleashing your creativity with BeadTool. Everything you need to design beautiful bead patterns is presented in an intuitive user interface. If you ever get stuck there are instructional videos to walk you through various tasks. So you've spent your fair share on expensive beading software that just isn't cutting it anymore. You'll find this application a treat to work with. If you sell your patterns, BeadTool 4 gives you more freedom to design your prints and PDFs as you want your customers to see them. Includes tools you would normally find in any drawing program. Creating bead patterns from photographs has never been easier. Load the most common image formats such as JPG, GIF, PNG, TIFF and with a few clicks you can have a beautiful pattern. Getting BeadTool customers the help they need is a top priority.

About

PatternMaker is the primary program and is used to create patterns. Once patterns are created they can be exported into digital files that can be shared like any file on the Internet. There are different levels — versions — of PatternMaker. MacroGen is the program that creates the exported files. The exported files are called macros. The macros have the ability to accept different measurements so the pattern can be adjusted to fit. Macros are executed by PatternMaker. (Many computer programs have macros that exist in a digital, sharable format. For example, Microsoft Word and Excel have the ability to export macros for sharing.) So, to run a macro you need the PatternMaker program. Collection Creator combines many different patterns that are in macro form into a collection. A collection might be a group of summer dresses.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • The program is easy to use. Don’t count on help from the support service; you will wait weeks or more for an answer. There are no positive aspects in the work of the support service. Alas.
  • I was able to make some of my artwork into patterns. Program wasn't hard to use or learn. Had what I needed with it in the paid version.

Cons

  • I wrote to the support service many times, but the letters did not arrive and I wrote and wrote again and again.
  • My money was stolen by this scam artist when I paid for the version I could download and print my patterns as well as upload and sell. I lost my money both to that and on all my artwork he still has in his program that I cannot use. Customer service from him is a joke. He insults and berates you. I was told act like an adult to get my stuff back. I told him I just want my product fixed or a refund. He has called people liars and scammers.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • PatternMaker is a great CAD software. It has several levels that allows you to opt in at your budget and build up as you go. I started with professional studio and now use the grading studio. I also design garment patterns with Macrogen by PatternMaker. Its versatile and flexible for you. You can design from the scratch or work from predesigned templates.

Cons

  • I would like a few more features added like an auto save. Sometimes I lose my work.
