About Pattern Maker
Pattern Maker is a Windows® application for the design of counted cross-stitch patterns. It is available in two levels: Standard and Professional. The Standard version provides a feature set which is useful to the hobbyist. The Professional version includes additional features that are most useful to professional designers. We also offer a Machine Embroidery add-on product that can be used to export a design from Pattern Maker into one of the common home machine embroidery formats. This add-on is available for both the Standard and Professional levels of the program.

Garment Designer
Garment Designer Overview for Windows or Macintosh. This pattern making program allows you to create patterns for both sewing and knitting. It includes libraries of ready-to-wear body measurements, or you can input your own measurements to create a more custom fit. While you work, you can see the shape of your body (the sloper) sitting inside the pattern you are building. Garment Designer uses a USB HASP key for software protection. This key will need to be plugged into your computer during software use. You may install the software on your desktop and your portable and move the key back and forth. This is the same key system we use with Stitch Painter. Those of you who own Stitch Painter 3 or greater, may choose to update your existing key so both programs will run.

PatternMaker
PatternMaker is the primary program and is used to create patterns. Once patterns are created they can be exported into digital files that can be shared like any file on the Internet. There are different levels — versions — of PatternMaker. MacroGen is the program that creates the exported files. The exported files are called macros. The macros have the ability to accept different measurements so the pattern can be adjusted to fit. Macros are executed by PatternMaker. (Many computer programs have macros that exist in a digital, sharable format. For example, Microsoft Word and Excel have the ability to export macros for sharing.) So, to run a macro you need the PatternMaker program. Collection Creator combines many different patterns that are in macro form into a collection. A collection might be a group of summer dresses.
