About

In online content delivery, user experience is everything. Azure Content Delivery Network (CDN) lets you reduce load times, save bandwidth, and speed responsiveness, whether you’re developing or managing websites or mobile apps, or encoding and distributing streaming media, gaming software, firmware updates, or IoT endpoints. CDN works seamlessly with Azure services, including Web Apps, Media Services, Storage, and Cloud Services. Apply CDN to your scenarios in just a few clicks. Azure APIs and developer tools give you the performance, reliability, and security you need to build global applications fast. Our APIs also give customers the flexibility to optimize features for availability and performance. Mitigate security threats on the content distribution network, such as distributed denial-of-service attacks. Optimize security by enabling HTTPS for your domain names, without additional cost or certificate management.

About

Gcore provides edge cloud infrastructure built for high-performance content storage, delivery, and protection. The platform combines DDoS protection across L3/4/7 layers, a fully featured WAAP, and real-time threat intelligence to safeguard web applications, APIs, and infrastructure. Optimized for high-traffic, latency-sensitive services — especially in gaming, iGaming, e-commerce, and digital-native industries — it handles unpredictable traffic spikes and malicious traffic patterns while ensuring stable application performance. The globally distributed network enables fast delivery of heavy content, reduces the burden on servers at peak loads, and lowers infrastructure costs. With a unified ecosystem integrating edge delivery, hosting, compute, and advanced security, Gcore helps businesses of any size reduce capital and operating expenses while delivering smooth, uninterrupted user experiences. A rich management API, Terraform provider, SIEM/SOC integrations, and real-time analytics p

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Recommended for enterprises. Excellent response times, 230% faster serving of images on azure blob storage, 200% faster serving of videos on azure blob storage. Ability to use multiple CDN networks. Azure provides 3 CDNs : 1. Akamai CDN 2. Verizon CDN (edgecast CDN) : offers Standard and premium 3. Azure CDN Each CDN has its own special features which makes a multi-CDN infrastructure very fast. Azure has more datacenters and regions than Google Cloud and AWS. Hence, very fast response times. Here's what tests say: Test Image: 5MB image with 1M requests per second. Latency comparison: Azure CDN : 5ms consistent latency AWS CloudFront : 40ms consistent latency Google Cloud CDN : 270ms fluctuating latency Azure has more CDN nodes than any other cloud provider.

Cons

  • Azure CDN does not provide dynamic acceleration of web content, but the other 2 CDNs provide it luckily.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • The 24/7 support team has been instrumental in solving any issues encountered swiftly. The top-tier support team.
  • Built-in features such as data encryption, two-factor authentication, and real-time threat monitoring ensure reliable safeguarding of information. The logically organized interface simplifies navigation, even for new users. Mastering basic functions did not require extensive training or specialist involvement. The system generates detailed reports, enabling timely adjustments to security settings.
  • Security+ excels in detecting and mitigating a wide range of threats, providing us with peace of mind regarding our system's security. Customizable Security Policies: The software allows us to customize security policies based on our specific requirements, enabling us to tailor our security measures to the unique needs of our organization. Integration Capabilities: Security+ seamlessly integrates with our existing infrastructure, enabling smooth implementation and reducing any disruption during the transition.
  • Robust Security Features: The security capabilities offered by Security software are impressive. The solution provides advanced encryption protocols, multi-factor authentication, and real-time threat monitoring, ensuring that our sensitive data remains protected from unauthorized access. User-Friendly Interface: The software's user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate. We were able to quickly understand and utilize its features without requiring extensive training or technical expertise. Comprehensive Reporting: Security software provides detailed reports and analytics, allowing us to gain insights into potential vulnerabilities and security incidents. This has been instrumental in identifying and mitigating risks effectively.
  • G-Core offers competitive pricing for their services, providing good value for the performance and features offered.

Cons

  • While Gcore Cloud provides an excellent service overall, the billing information is somewhat unclear and complicated, which could use some improvements for a smoother user experience.
  • During implementation, webinars would have been beneficial to accelerate integration. The pricing structure may not be optimal for smaller companies. Introducing flexible tariffs or simplified versions could make the product more accessible to small businesses.
  • Limited Reporting Features: The reporting capabilities of Security+ could be more advanced and comprehensive. We would appreciate more detailed reports and analytics to gain deeper insights into our security posture. Pricing Structure: The pricing structure of the software could be more flexible and transparent, as it currently lacks options that cater to different budget sizes or scalability requirements.
  • Steep Learning Curve: Due to the complexity of the security industry, it took some time for our team to fully grasp all the features and functionalities of the software. A more streamlined onboarding process or additional training resources would have been beneficial. Pricing Structure: The cost of Security software can be quite high, especially for small businesses or startups with limited budgets. It would be helpful if the pricing options were more flexible or offered tiered plans to accommodate organizations of different sizes.
  • Restrictions on the free plan, no warning about server shutdown
