Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • I like its ability to create, edit and convert files, ensuring that critical documents are well organized and accessible. The commenting and review feature is excellent for collaborating on technical documentation, improving communication between teams. File protection through passwords and encryption is crucial to ensure that confidential information is protected from unauthorized access.
  • Adobe Acrobat is a wonderful tool when it comes to pdf, whether it's simple reading or editing a particular thing in a pdf or whether putting a digital signature on it, everything is so easy with Acrobat. The best thing is now it can be integrated with Chrome so that we can open a pdf page online through acrobat without leaving chrome, I like this part a lot. It has mobile app that works perfectly fine as pc and the best part is I can use the same premium features on mobile too with just one subscription purchase at pc. They also provides 7 days trial before paying actual subscription cost so that buyers can get satisfied.
  • This software has a user-friendly and customizable interface, which gives me easy access to the tools I need. This feature saves time and improves productivity, making it an ideal platform for individuals and businesses. Adobe Acrobat has the ability to create, edit, convert, combine, compress, protect, sign, and share PDF files with high quality and precision. These features are essential for people who deal with large volumes of PDF files, as they save time and effort. In addition, Adobe Acrobat supports collaboration and digital signing with cloud-based services and integrations with Microsoft, Google, Box, and other applications. This feature allows users to collaborate on projects in real time, which can increase efficiency and accuracy. In addition, Adobe Acrobat offers advanced features such as document comparison, redaction, OCR, encryption, accessibility, and compliance. These features make Adobe Acrobat an ideal platform for individuals and businesses that need a comprehensive PDF tool. With its advanced features, Adobe Acrobat ensures that users can perform their tasks with ease and confidence. Another feature that I want to highlight is that it has a free version called Adobe Acrobat Reader that allows users to view, annotate, and print PDF files. This feature is particularly useful for people who require basic PDF functionalities without the need for advanced features. Adobe Acrobat Reader is a useful tool for anyone who works with PDF files and wants to view and annotate them on the go.
  • * The most practical and easy thing that Adobe Acrobat can have is the ease with which pdfs can be edited in this software, it is even more compatible when going from PDF to Word or some other document without so much loss or so many problems with some elements of documents. I can say that despite the competition it currently has with various pdf editors such as Foxit or Nitro, the one with the most compatibility when it comes to converting PDFs to another type of format for any document, Adobe does its job well. In addition, it becomes very intuitive to be able to edit pdf since no knowledge is required, everything is in sight and very easy to understand what each of its tools is for. * Digital signatures are a walk within Adobe, just by already having the signatures added within this software I only have to add the respective signatures within the corresponding boxes without having to do it manually, saving printing costs. It is also very secure since signatures cannot be placed just because, Adobe provides a security barrier before adding a digital signature to the document that does not allow anyone to add a signature that is linked to my Adobe account, so for that side I am calm and I feel safe. * I can without a doubt be able to use Adobe Acrobat completely from my phone without having to access my computer, this speeds up the process when I want to read pdf instantly without going to the PC and also be able to make modifications without any limitation. It really surprised me that most of the features of Adobe Acrobat for desktop are also available for mobile phones, Adobe usually releases trimmed versions of its software for mobile phones regardless of how powerful the computer is. So, I would like that just as they made it possible to include almost all of Adobe Acrobat for desktop on mobile phones, they also do it with the other applications. * You can create pdf documents that have full compatibility with word, office and excel, this gives better results than going from a pdf that was already in word before, I say it's better because sometimes Microsoft implements new functions to its Office packages which Acrobat doesn't count on, so creating documents directly from Adobe can have a huge compatibility advantage.
  • I can make comments or situations regardless of the type of PDF you have, this has been very useful to be able to make revisions in important documents before the final delivery, since if these tools were not available, you would have to do manual revisions or share capture screen in each section that has to be corrected. Likewise, you can also make markers with a highlighter of different colors and these in turn will be seen on any computer or mobile device application since it edits the PDF and allows you to view what is highlighted in the document previously. Any type of PDF can be avoided except for certain documents that are PDF with point scanned images and scanned images. document that has certain images and can be edited without any problem since it is possible with Adobe Acrobat And these changes will be reflected regardless if the text is inside an image. So it is possible to edit text or PDF without any problem in case of editing documents without having to go through external applications or repackage the document to PDF through a Word editor, how does it count in Microsoft Office. I can convert my entire PDF document to any other available document format as this is very important to me as sometimes I need to retrieve certain information or modify a large part of the information without having to redo the entire content. They have also been very useful when I do not have the source file which was converted to PDF. This was very useful for me to be able to create a template document through PDF passed to Word through this platform without having to start from scratch. Also, if I don't need to make many changes other than just changing the fonts of the text, it is possible with this platform, since depending on the Font that is on the computer, it is possible to change the fonts available, if a font is added after the document is open, you may have to restart Adobe Acrobat for the changes to take effect since currently this or any Adobe product does not update automatically in my experience.

Cons

  • Although it is a very robust platform, the advanced editing tools can be complex to use for less experienced users.
  • Not as such to dislike, subscription cost can be lower, 1200 Rs per month is on the costlier side.
  • For me the cost of Adobe Acrobat is the main problem, it is higher compared to other PDF editors, especially if you go for the monthly subscription plan. This can be a significant barrier for individuals or small businesses on a tight budget. Adobe Acrobat requires frequent updates and patches to fix security vulnerabilities and bugs. This can be time consuming and frustrating, especially for people who need to use the platform on a regular basis. Additionally, these updates can cause compatibility issues with other applications and lead to downtime or loss of productivity. It can be overwhelming and complex for beginners who only need basic PDF editing tools. This can make navigation difficult, which can result in lost productivity and frustration. Also, the platform can be slow to load and open large or scanned PDF files, which can be a hindrance for people who need to work on multiple documents simultaneously. I was disappointed that this software does not support some file formats or platforms, which can be a limitation for individuals or companies that need to work with various file types or systems. This may result in the need to purchase additional software or services, which can increase costs and reduce efficiency.
  • * The fonts have problems sometimes when I want to change them because Adobe Acrobat shows incorrect characters even having the original font of the pdf document before being transformed. Sometimes it is solved by restarting the software but that is not enough, and I simply try to find the original document and change the source from there to not complicate myself so much. Adobe does not have recent knowledge with the handling of PDFs, and I do not understand that despite years it has this same problem, could it be that certain fonts are not compatible with this software? Or is there something else causing problems with some fonts when editing a pdf. * I also have another problem when editing a pdf document, is when I add images to the document. It takes a long time to appear and sometimes it hangs having to wait because otherwise Adobe closes. This happens mostly when the documents are large, so I have to be patient when editing within Adobe Acrobat, so I don't start over when I cause it to crash. In documents with many pages this does not happen, it does hang a bit, but it doesn't take long when the image is already reflected within my document, so I suppose it is a performance problem when processing many pages. * The extra breaks that are added when a text is manually copied from a pdf to Word are really annoying, this happens quite frequently, regardless of whether it is a plain text without any editing, once the text is copied and passed to any text editor this will have page balances. It happens quite frequently, especially in texts that are from scanned documents, I have tried doing a test with printing a simple text, scanning it and copying the text from Adobe and when I paste the text in any text editor, the additional page breaks that do not appear will appear. They are in the original document. It also happens that it does not recognize the paragraphs or join the sentences, each line looks like a separate paragraph. * It can be expensive if purchased individually, so you have to determine this before making the purchase since it can be cheaper paying a subscription as a company which can be up to almost half for only three licenses, that is an advantage but if it is about individual people the monthly payment can be a bit expensive. It would be nice if you could pay permanently as it was done in the past, where you didn't worry about the monthly payment, but everything was a single payment and that's it, you already had Acrobat for an unlimited time. For this reason, I recommend acquiring Acrobat as a company if there are several people who are going to use this software to manage pdf documents.
  • I honestly can't understand why both the desktop app and the mobile app tend to freeze when the documents are very informational point I can usually understand when the text is in edit mode as this could cause a lot of load of RAM memory, however it should not accept in reading mode since for my understanding only the text that is being viewed within the window should be rendered and not all the text of the entire document. So I would like it to have a performance boost for both mobile and Windows app because this doesn't happen when I open a large PDF with any Chromium based browser. The voice dictation application for PDFs is not very exact or precise Since in certain documents it does not understand very well what is written or certain words are changed due to not knowing how to detect their sources. In the Android application it is not effective either, and less with the voice dictation that this operating system brings by default. So you should implement a new voice dictation in case you only want to listen to the text. Points It is also voice dictation when they work, it is very Dynamic with words since it sounds very robotic compared to the voice dictations that are currently on the market, regardless of whether it is from Google, Microsoft, or Apple, another voice dictation. In scanned book texts, it is not very accurate in detecting the words that are written, regardless of whether the text is well scanned or has a recognizable font. In addition, it does not determine paragraphs or line breaks very well either, spaces are not very well detected in most cases all the text can be pasted If you want to copy from a scanned image or have two or more spaces between words. This means that if you want to go from a scanned document to a digital text, you have to make arrangements since this platform does not correctly detect the texts in the image.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • ° It is more complete unlike many other 2D plan management software for constructions. Moreover, I consider it number one for this type of work since it is more complete in functionalities so I can detail my plans without any problem and thus deliver the final project to the client without losing any detail. I have tried free software to know how different AutoCAD was from others and the difference is abysmal, therefore, I consider that for beginners or students it is preferable to use free CAD software before entering the world of AutoCAD because of how extensive it is. ° It has a detailed documentation in case you have not learned all the functionalities or want to explore new things about this software. In addition to the fact that the documentation can be downloaded to be able to read it in offline mode while perfecting the handling of this software since it is complicated to learn. ° When I say that it is very detailed, I mean that I can count on all the elements of a construction, as well as plumbing, electricity, mechanics, architecture, etc. I can include all of this in the same plane and also that there is a space for each one since they all work differently due to their pieces. For example, in construction I have different elements such as the different profiles of a beam or if I create a special and personalized one, I can also do it. ° The design of its interface is not at all confusing despite the countless number of features it has, this is essential for me because of the convenience of being able to work on plans without having everything accumulated in one place. I like that everything is grouped into submenus to make everything more practical. I can also use keyboard shortcuts in case I want to use a function without navigating the interface to find it. Another thing that also counts with respect to the shortcuts is that I can assign key combinations in a personalized way in order to adapt this software to my needs and comforts, as well as I can modify the different elements where they show functions so that I can place the functions that I most I use just giving it a click and not going to the menus to look for them.
  • We work with this program daily and like the feature packed program that can do pretty much anything that can do anything. We use this to draft building layouts to scale and also building rendering. I have also used this program in the pass to do quantity take-offs, ground reclamation and ground works design. Awesome and powerful product to use.
  • This software is a powerful feature rich program that allows us to create amazing 2D and 3D designs. We use these designs to present amazing visuals to our clients. We also use the program to create indepth and accurate construction documents for both our employees and contractors alike.
  • If you know AutoCAD, you know the Pros. It is a powerful tool for 2d and Civil 3d drawings. I like the fact that it leaves open the ability to program more as a user.
  • You can edit and makes vectors with ease because of the interface and the tools provided by Autocad. You can use it as a photo editor too. It gives you one of the best finishing in the editing.

Cons

  • ° The 3D rendering is very good and clear, but it is very simple. I usually look for realism in terms of previewing plans to show them to my clients, so most of the time when I need clearer renders I use special software which can have more details and we make the properties that I want to show like this to get a perspective closer to the reality of the final design. ° When you are going to render a 2D plane in 3D it tends to do a full render, I mean it renders even what is not being seen inside the camera. I have verified this since I did tests eliminating the details that were not going to appear in the final image of each shot and I have drastically noticed the difference in the time it takes to render each one of the images of the plane in question. For me it is important to have a good working speed when I want to finish a project in a set time and this problem has given me many setbacks. ° It requires a great deal of experience to use this software correctly, there are much simpler CAD editors since they do not have as many plan editing functionalities or do not have 3D rendering. AutoCAD is much more complete and more complex to handle in all aspects since it is made by professionals. That is why I recommend taking a course only for this software since it involves a lot of work and time to be able to master it correctly, although you will always learn new things from so many functions that it has. ° In the case of using volumetric information this software will not have it, so you can wait for them to add that functionality or simply switch to another CAD platform. This function of volumetric models is important to be able to add to have more details of the plans without requiring them to be placed manually since it can take a long time to do so. ° The cost of the subscription seems absurd to me, unlike when AutoCAD was paid for a final price, which also had the option of subscription in case the final price could not be paid. Now it is more expensive and also it is not only by subscription, but now they have a FLEX mode which allows you to use it for days. It doesn't seem profitable to me to pay for a product like this, since if I definitely buy software it's because I required an investment for which I shouldn't pay more.
  • This is a very pricey program and will be hard on smaller companies.
  • Can seem like a large upfront expense, but pays for itself quickly with the quality of the output, as well as the time and money saved.
  • My biggest issue was that they stopped people getting the watermarked full version that allowed people to train and keep up their skills while they aren't in the field but also not in school. I recently graduated, my time ran out and now I can never use it again until I find a job that will want fresh skill more that years of rusty, outdated skills. Give me free with options to pay for tutorials and make your money making me skilled in your program so more will be sold as we make our way into the field require the businesses to have more licences. Some serious glitches seem to be building in this product over the years as they seem to just keep piecing things in over the years without really rebuilding the whole to fully integrate. In college, we hit any number of issues continually that so reminded me of Android apps continual patchwork updates that just piling on, eventually busting app or just being so bloated it wouldn't function properly on device. I believe it is in serious need of a rebuild.
  • It is costly for people who do not have a stable business and want to learn Autocad.
