I purchased two (2) small Xsteam products on January 26 at a kiosk located at Westfield's in Century City. Price: One Hundred Thirty Dollars and Eighty Cents (including tax). My daughter tried hers this evening as did I. Hers barely removed wrinkles. And mine did not work at all! To add insult to injury, clipped to my copy of the credit card slip AFTER I had already signed the original credit card slip was a small piece of paper stating that there would be NO REFUND. EXCHANGE ONLY. There was NO sign posted at the kiosk to inform the consumer of this fact nor was anything conveyed to me by the sales associate of this restriction. I discovered this revelation last night. Additionally, the sales associate told me that she would include her business cards with the product. When I removed her "business cards" from my purse, I discovered that they only reflected the Xsteam logo and the website. No name of the sales associate. No phone number. No address. Nothing. Talk about questionable ethics and legalities! I have already contacted American Express to reverse the charge. I intend to return both Xsteam products to the kiosk tomorrow. If the company refuses to agree to a credit to my American Express account, I will DEFINITELY file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency under the auspices of the Attorney General's Office within the State of California as well as the Better Business Bureau. I am absolutely disgusted by this company's poor business tactics!
