workerman-chat is a high-performance WebSocket chat room system built with PHP and Workerman’s GatewayWorker framework. It is designed to support distributed deployment, which makes it more scalable than a single-process demo chat app. The project supports multiple chat rooms so users can join different conversation spaces. It also includes private messaging, automatic reconnection after disconnection, and broad browser support through HTML5 or Flash fallback. The chat interface can parse Weibo images automatically and display Weibo-style emoticons in messages.
