• It can be run as Stand-Alone or run from another App - I used KiCad (Simple Plugins) for this example.
• There are two ODT forms - one is a smaller version of the larger form (thus, it omits some fields). The actual Database is the same so, records won’t be lost and either Form can be used.
• The ODT forms simplify and un-clutter the display (all the other LibreOffice windows are not displayed). Of course, they are still available if opening the .ODB file.
• FYI - I had planned to Rename everything but, decided to Not do it as requires re-linking tables/forms. That’s easy to do thus, I leave it for you to do, if desired. I suggest making a Backup copy before tweaking.
• Regarding the ODT GUI forms: Most of the Toolbars should be hidden but, be sure to turn-on the Navigation toolbar!
• The Package Contents:
db_Size_Test1_FORM1.odt -- The Large Form
db_Size_Test1_FORM2.odt -- The Small Form
db_Size_Test1.odb -- The full enchalada

Features
- Two Stand-Alone GUI .odt Forms for Data Input & Viewing
- Do NOT rename anything or add fields until being prepared for broken internal links (very typical of Databases)
- Adding photo/images: Double-Click or Right-Click the container.
- Can Enter Proj_Name in either the Table or Proj_Name field.
- Adding text to Fields: Can Type or Paste...etc.
- Date is a Pull-down but also accepts typed-in dates.
- With the Navigation toolbar displayed, at lower right corner is an Icon to Toggle the Table Display (a convenient way to edit the Table via a Pop-Up at the top).
- BOM (Bill Of Material) image: For simplicity (using Kicad’s BOM from the PCB) a CSV file is generated then, saved as .PNG. Alternatively, you can use a PDF.
- - To Do It with an Image: Double-Click the CSV file, LibreOffice will prompt for selection (if it’s your default for opening CSV). Highlight desired Cells in Spreadsheet and Export .PNG from Selection. Then, can use it in one of the image fields (such as the BOM field)
- There are many posts on Making a plugin for KiCad. You’ll want to Call the ODT form.
- The .ODB also contains a ‘Report’. Can Double-Click it and print it
