NotebookLM for Windows is an unofficial Electron desktop client that turns Google NotebookLM into a more integrated research workspace. Despite its name, current builds support Windows, macOS, and Linux. The application preserves a persistent Google login while adding native window controls, system tray access, startup options, and desktop notifications. Ghost Mode adjusts window transparency so users can reference material underneath without repeatedly switching applications. Quick-Clip captures clipboard text through a customizable global shortcut, while multi-pane mode displays up to three NotebookLM sessions side by side. Users can drag files or browser links into the window, export notes as Markdown, select light or dark themes, and pin the application above other windows. Installer, portable, and platform-specific packages are available, with automatic background updates supported on compatible builds.
