Fastpotify is a lightweight native Spotify client written in Rust with egui and librespot. It runs on Linux, macOS, and Windows without a browser engine and is designed for fast startup and low memory use. Premium users can play music locally with gapless playback, high-quality audio, normalization, and caching, while free users can still browse and search. The app can also control Spotify Connect devices and discover compatible receivers on the local network. It provides library browsing, search, recommendations, artist and album pages, playlist editing, queue management, and session resume. Extra desktop features include keyboard shortcuts, tray playback, media integration, a Winamp-style mini player, equalizer, and MilkDrop visualization. Authentication uses Spotify's browser-based consent flow rather than collecting account passwords.
