CompPad is a LibreOffice extension that provides live mathematical and engineering calculations within a Writer document. It is intended to provide a free / open-source alternative to Mathcad, but is not intended to be a Mathcad clone. Rather, I hope it might prove more flexible and extensible, and that it might encourage other free / open-source alternatives to a proprietary engineering "Killer App."

This was already a great plugin. Thanks to Toby Rule, it’s now up to date and fully compatible with the latest version of LO. Plus, the follow-up was impressively fast!

Cool stuff. But works only within LibreOffice 4.1.0.4. It doesn't works in LibreOffice 6 and I can't find acceptable OpenOffice version

it seems that the plug does not work properly with the latest LibreOffice

One issue with this add-in (Windows XP, last ver OOo). When I insert any picture into the word processor and then try to save it the program (OOo or LibreO) crashes. But it very nice project and good luck with it. Another good extension is CmathOOoSAS
