Guenter,

i'm reverting the patch i did on 0.9.6->0.9.7 to do seamless branching 
on dvds. this seems to cause problems changing from menu->video as the 
decoder wouldn't be reinitialized.

i think it's appropriated for the 'stable' branch too. i hope you don't 
mind if i commit there too (i'm reverting the stable xine behaviour up 
to 0.9.6).
