Both are clearly bugfixes and unless anyone disagree i think they should be at the stable branch too (including 0.9.7). I have not checked in the still frame detection which i would say it's "alpha quality" (although working fine here). I believe the logic is right (with a threshold on fifo->size()) except it will not be able to catch that weird episode-I you have. For that case i would propose the following approach: debuging what kind of mpeg packets is the dvd sending to mpeg2dec and why nothing comes out of it. Possibly add some code to mpeg2dec to repeat the last frame in this case (of course this will depend of what the hell the dvd is doing!). Another fix i would like to have, first at the main branch and after some tests merged into stable, is the audio_decoder->reset when scr discontinuities are detected. (much better than closing and reopening the audio driver every time) > Stuff like streaming support (mpeg4ip really looks > very interesting) can then be added to the main branch and gradually > merged into the stable branch after some testing - at least that's my > plan at the moment I like that approach... particularly as distros seems to be thinking about xine! :) Miguel |
