To Xine-0.3.7 users, While cnonfiguring xine-0.3.7 I get the following error message :- Could not run ALSA test programme, checking why .....The test programme failed to compile or link. See the file config.log for the exact error. This usually means ALSA was incorrectly installed. All of ALSA dependent parts will be disabled. The configuration continued thereafter till the end. From what I could make of the config.log file the follwing is relevant : - Checking for ALSA version >=0.5.5 /usr/include/sys/asoundlib.h:25:linux/asound.h : No such file of directory. /usr/include/sys/asoundlib.h:25:linux/assequencer.h : No such file of directory. There were no errors while running make and make install. I have a SuSe 6.4 on my linux box and the ALSA version is 0.5.5-8 , and the above file are not located on my box. What should I do now ? Where can I get the required files? I do want to to configure xine-0.3.7 correctlly and get it working. Eagerly awaiting reply? Dinesh R.Rele India. |
