Category: audio output problems Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Ethan Glasser-Camp (glasserc) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: certain MP3 doesn't play Initial Comment: This mp3: ftp://ftp.scene.org/pub/music/groups/8bitpeoples/8bp019-14-tangible-red_motor.mp3 doesn't play in xine. It plays fine in mpg321 and alsaplayer. xine plays other MP3s fine too. About this mp3, mp3val is silent, but mp3check says: $ mp3check -e 8bp019-14-tangible-red_motor.mp3 8bp019-14-tangible-red_motor.mp3: 131 bytes of junk before first frame header valid id3 tag trailer v1.1 found However, using mp3check --cut-junk-start does not make xine want to play this mp3. I'm using libxine 1.1.2 from Debian. I know this is kind of old, sorry! I don't see anything in the changelog that looks like it addresses this.
