Category: video output problems Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 6 Private: No Submitted By: Richard Ash (richardash1981) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Ffmpeg-decoded streams play jerky after looping Initial Comment: If you loop a file decoded using ffmpeg then the video playback will start off fine, then get jerky, and finally freeze up altogether. This looks like bugs 1599975 and 1319154, although the latter is marked as fixed. I tried this with 1.1.3 CVS from 2006 11 12, and it still happens, as it has since 1.1.0. The work-around described in 1319154 stops the jerky playback, but causes other artifacts dependant on source resolution, and high CPU consumption. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Richard Ash (richardash1981) Date: 2007-01-06 21:17 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=950206 Originator: YES Just verified this crash also exists with 1.1.3 release using ogg theora files. This is seriously making me think about libvlc or mplayer, as there seems to be no momentum to fix it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Richard Ash (richardash1981) Date: 2006-12-03 16:39 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=950206 Originator: YES Anything else I can do to help get this fixed? Would a gdb trace of the hang state be useful? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109655&aid=1601299&group_id=9655 |
