Category: audio output problems Group: v1.1.2 >Status: Closed >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: James (jl6) >Assigned to: Diego Pettenò (dgp85) Summary: Incorrect decoder chosen for mod files (includes workaround) Initial Comment: Playback of some mod files attempts to use the shorten plugin instead of the mod plugin. This gives the error message "[shorten @ 0xb651dea4]missing shorten magic 'ajkg'". .s3m and .xm files play fine, but ".mod" files tend not to. You can force xine to use the mod plugin by using a MRL: $ xine "file://path/to/file.mod#demux:mod" This is not very convenient though, especially when apps like Amarok don't know to do this. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Diego Pettenò (dgp85) Date: 2006-12-25 17:55 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=60011 Originator: NO This bug entry is believed to be fixed in CVS.
