Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) >Assigned to: Diego Pettenò (dgp85) Summary: misleading "no input plugin" error on unreadable file Initial Comment: xine gives an error message claiming there is a problem with the input plugin when the problem is that the file is not readable. I'm using amaroK 1.4.2 on Ubuntu 6.06, which uses xine as the backend. I was getting "Error: No suitable input plugin." and it turned out the problem was that I didn't have read permissions on the file in question. I fixed permissions and it worked fine. Possible solution: a new error message (or messages) if file opening itself fails for whatever reason. dg...@gm... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109655&aid=1550763&group_id=9655 |
