Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Peter Zelezny. (zed) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: use_progressive_frame_flag=1 failing in xine-lib 1.1.1 Initial Comment: xine-lib 1.1.1 xine-ui 0.99.4 On digital TV some channels are interlaced, some are not. This is not properly auto detected, despite setting: gui.deinterlace_plugin:tvtime:method=GreedyH,cheap_mode=0,pulldown=0,use_progressive_frame_flag=1 CPU usage is 40% on progressive scan channel. CPU usage is 22% on progressive scan channel if I press 'i' to disable interlacing. However, pressing 'i' on/off on the progressive-scan channels doesn't affect the picture, only extra CPU usage. I'd be happy to test any source patches if the bug is identified. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Peter Zelezny. (zed) Date: 2006-04-12 03:06 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=5012 Is the flag printed out via --verbose=9? I could not see it. Couldn't it be assumed by the fact that the stream is 50 (EU) or 60 (US) FPS? Frame duration is 1800. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Darren Salt (dsalt) Date: 2006-04-11 21:05 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=294680 Are you sure that the progressive-frame DVB stream is actually marked as using progressive frames? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Peter Zelezny.
