Category: gxine Group: feature request Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Eduardo Cereto (eduardocereto) Assigned to: Darren Salt (dsalt) Summary: Subtitles won't display in gxine Initial Comment: I'm using gxine 0.44 that is the official verssion for ubuntu. So maybe this is alredy implemented and I don't know yet. But my gxine won't display subtitles at all. Xine works right tought. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Darren Salt (dsalt) Date: 2006-02-08 23:57 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=294680 Despite the lack of examples, I've cobbled something together which seems to work. It needs testing; you'll find it in CVS HEAD. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Darren Salt (dsalt) Date: 2006-02-03 20:54 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=294680 ... separate subtitles file? If so, I need example files - both video and subtitles, not too large for dial-up. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Eduardo Cereto (eduardocereto) Date: 2005-12-03 03:09 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1300199 Yes you're right it's gxine 0.4.4-0ubuntu5 here. My Stream meta-info says: Audio codec: MPEG layer 2/3 Audio format: 2 channels, 16bit, 48.0kHz, 128000bps Video codec: ISO MPEG-4 (XviD, ffmpeg) Video format:624x352 ,24.0 fps, 1.77:1, 0 bps System layer: AVI the config file is mainly commented. I think this means both xine and gxine are in default configuration. The only thing I could notice is that the entry: engine.performance.memcpy_method qas set to mmxext in xine and sse in gxine. I changed it to the same in xine but didn't noticied any difference at all. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Darren Salt (dsalt) Date: 2005-12-02 18:43 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=294680 Sample stream? Any configuration differences, particularly video or subtitles? (Compare ~/.xine/config and ~/.gxine/config, but ignore the gui.* settings.) BTW, there's no 0.44 - you mean 0.4.4 (and I hope that it's at least 0.4.4-0ubuntu4). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109655&aid=1368823&group_id=9655 |
