Category: a/v sync problem Group: xine failure Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: pausing an http stream breaks the connection at resume Initial Comment: When watching an http stream, ala xine http://a.b.c/stream.avi, pausing it for an extended time (~>2min [http timeout?]) makes the player fail to sync playing the stream once resumed, as it uses up the remaining buffer. It seems it needs to keep track of where the buffered pause occurred, and do a http resume get after the player resumes playback. The current solution is to stop the stream, and fast forward to where one left off. Troublesome with long streams. This is with xine v.0.99.3 and all streams I've tested so far.
