Category: video output problems Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: aspect ratio wrong with twinview screen Initial Comment: I'm using twinview to join to 1280x1024 screens into one 2560x1024 desktop. Xine incorrectly sets its aspect ratio twice as wide as it should. If I switch to a standard resolution (ie., 1280x1024, turning off one of the screens), then start Xine, it renders correctly, even if I subsequently reset the resolution to 2560x1024 using xrandr. Conversely, if I start it in 2560x1024 mode, then switch to a standard resolution, the aspect ratio stays skewed. Changing the aspect ratio using the View menu doesn't change this behavior. I'm running FC4, with the xine packaged from livna.org: xine-0.99.3-0.lvn.7.4. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2005-08-22 18:20 Message: Logged In: NO I also have a twinview setup that does not work correctly. My setup is asymetrical however. I have a widescreen LCD (1680x1050) and a CRT (1024x768). Even with the CRT disabled using xrandr, the aspect ratio is incorrect at a resolution of 1680x1050 on my LCD. When I set my LCD to 1280x1024, the aspect ratio is correct. I'm using XFCE4 with xine-lib 1.1.0-1 and xine-ui 0.99.4-1 running Arch Linux. and...@gm... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109655&aid=1235462&group_id=9655 |
