Category: video output problems Group: None Status: Closed Resolution: Duplicate Priority: 5 Submitted By: mr-zbiggy (mr-zbiggy) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: XvMC output do not work with new Nvidia 6776 driver Initial Comment: Hi! There is problem with new nVidia 1.0-7664 driver and XvMC output in xine-lib 1.0.1 It looks the libXvMCNVIDIA.so.1.0.7664 is changed according to previous version 1.0.7174. The xine --verbose -V xvmc (I use xine lib 1.0.1) reports this: XvMCWrapper: Could not load hardware specific XvMC library "libXvMCNVIDIA_dynamic.so.1". /usr/X11R6/lib/libXvMCNVIDIA_dynamic.so.1: undefined symbol: _nv0019XvMCdynamic video_out_xvmc: Xv extension is present but I couldn't find a usable yuv12 port. Looks like your graphics hardware driver doesn't support Xv?! The xine-lib 1.0.1 worked fine with 7174 version. But now with 7664 there is problem. The installation of 7664 driver was fine and everything works except XvMC. My configuration: Lunar Linux X.Org 6.8.2 Nvidia driver 1.0.-7664 cpu: AthlonXP 2500+ mainboard: Abit NF7-S v2.0 (chipset Nforce2 soundstorm) RAM: 512 MB DDR400 Twinbank graphics card: Geforce FX 5200 64 MB greets, Zbigniew Łuszpiński ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: mr-zbiggy (mr-zbiggy) Date: 2005-06-16 20:51 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1241092 Yes, Nvidia confirmed this bug in Nvidia driver. They will fix it in future releases of driver. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Thomas Hellström (totte67) Date: 2005-06-16 11:03 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=975532 This is a duplicate of bug 1218951. The resolution is the same. It's not a xine bug. You will have to contact Nvidias driver developers about this. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: mr-zbiggy (mr-zbiggy) Date: 2005-06-14 22:00 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1241092 I discovered that nVidia introduced two such things: _nv0019XvMCdynamic _nv0112XvMCdynamic greets, Zbigniew Luszpinski ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109655&aid=1220689&group_id=9655 |
