Hello
Here is a patch file to patch the current CVS, so that the audio sync code
can be moved out of the old audio_driver code.
This means that the same audio sync code will be used for all audio_drivers.
This should make it a lot easier to implement new audio_drivers.

Currently, only OSS is supported as proof of concept.

Once my code has been checked by other people, we can check it in to CVS.
Modification of other audio_drivers should be relatively easy, as one does
not have to think about audio sync any more.
I would be happy to do alsa09 audio_drivers. I cannot do others as I don't
use them.
