Hi ! First I don't know if there is a linux-compatible-dvd-driver-list but I can say the person who want to buy a DVD Driver that it works with the 'Creative PC-DVD, Blaster'. Second thing: I find the qulity of the videos very bad. Is there a way to optimize something : kernel 2.4 ?, what does the decss module exactly do (and how can I exactly install it ?). I rode in the livid Howto some things to do before using a DVD player (like /proc/mtrr). What is really necessary to do ? Is there a doc with all those stages ? Note: My Hardware: AMD K6-2 3D Now 350MHz 192MB Ram ATI xpert@work (run with the ati server of xfree-86 4) Is that enough or do I need a Bi 1GHz Pentium ? :) Thank you Jean-Michel |
