Bugs item #1090333, was opened at 2004-12-23 12:58 Message generated for change (Comment added) made by mroi You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109655&aid=1090333&group_id=9655 Category: xine Group: None >Status: Pending Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Phil Costin (philipcostin) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Threading deadlock while watching DVB-T Initial Comment: While watching DVB-T (and possibly other DVB material), xine enters deadlock after an unspecified time. Any attempt to list the running processes fails to complete and the only way out is to drop to the lowest runlevel and cold reboot. I can't debug this either as I can't get any information from the processes once they've deadlocked. Catch 22. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Michael Roitzsch (mroi) Date: 2004-12-23 14:04 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=552060 This is most likely related to bug #1090330. If you are even unable to "killall -9 xine", xine is being locked inside the kernel. Any user-level deadlock (and these are the only ones xine itself can be causing) cannot prevent you from SIGKILLing the process.
