http://bugs.xine-project.org/show_bug.cgi?id=278 Summary: KDE programs crash when using xine Product: xine-lib Version: 1.1.16.3 Platform: i386/x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P3 Component: Core / Backend AssignedTo: xin...@xi... ReportedBy: viv...@gm... Operating System: Ubuntu 9.04 with KDE 4.3.1 KDE programs crash on my computer when they try to use the xine backend. For example, if I select an .AVI video file with the information/preview sub-window open, Dolphin crashes. I initially thought this was a KDE bug, but it appears to be caused by the xine-lib backend (reported at https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=207095). The same problem also crashes Amarok, Knotify, and other KDE programs. Nor can I open the xine-ui program - it crashes upon launch. This crash started occurring about a month ago, possibly due to a xine update. Here's the backtrace using gdb trying to run xine.
