Ah, one: I think oxine.c (xine-ui) contains untranslatable strings (no gettext). Found that perchance when trying to locate where a particular string occurred. > > [...] > > And I see that gxine contains notes for the translator: well though that! > > Often I have doubts about how much space do I have, whether size is limited > > (dialogs and windows), and such... > > Mostly, they'll be expanded by the UI toolkit to accommodate the message. Uff, there are no less than six Spanish translations of the GPL. We 'are' different ;-) One more question. I see strings like: 'engine: < ' 'result: %s' Is the left part intended to be translated? Looking at the German or French translations I see that those two are translated. But sometimes in xine-lib or -ui it has been difficult for me to determine, and I left most of them alone, considering them like tokens. Maybe there is no general rule. - -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Made with pgp4pine 1.76 iD8DBQFF+fgMtTMYHG2NR9URAmlGAJ46+CXL6upLr4GgP+OZYH4JUF65YgCfRksc s7kB+iLov2M+hj6H2gjhhyg= =xN8S -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
