I don't think that this is an issue of PTS drift, as the next audio 
buffer is 2.324 seconds ahead of current time.

In my case the above error was caused by an incorrect handling of PTS 
discontinuities.

Check your demuxer, whether it generates discontinuity reports. See some 
older messages in this list which address demux_mpeg_pes and/or 
demux_mpeg_ts.
