Hello, I have been using Xine for some time now in MythTV and as a standalone player. Great Software (IMHO) Now I am trying to use the SPDIF output of a Sond Blaster Live! 24 Bit External (USB) sound board. I have loaded/configured ALSA, and the sound board seems to be working perfectly. In Xine, I have been able to use the passthrough to send DTS formatted data to my receiver without a problem. The volume is good and the signal works. My problem is when I try to send Dolby Digital AC3 data out of the SPDIF pass through, the receiver indicates DD 5.1, but the volume is muted. My question is about configuration and library support. I have liba52 loaded on the machine, and am wondering if I need to recompile/disable liba52 support to get Dolby Digital to passthrough properly. Also, does anyone have a suggestion on how to test whether ALSA, Xine or the hardware is the problem? Again, DTS passthrough is working, and the receiver (Sony Stereo) shows DTS, and the volume is OK. Only when I go to Dolby Digital audio tracks to I get no volume. I am willing at this point to look at the source code and make modification if necessary. Thanks in advance for any help Sincerely, Anthony |
