Hello! I am using latest xine-lib from Gentoo/Portage (1.0-r3) and latest xine-ui (0.99.3-r1). My system uses an ATI Radeon X740XL and therefore I installed the latest ATI proprietary driver. Whenever I try to play a video file in xine-ui (doesn't matter if avi, dvd or dvb), I get a small black border on the left side of the screen. This happens in window mode and in fullscreen mode. I am using xv as a video driver. When I use opengl, the window has no borders. But opengl IMHO produces a bad quality, especially in fullscreen. Then I tried to change the color key in the options of xine-ui. This time the border was no longer black but sort of grey. So I think that there may be problems with overlay or something like that. The border only appears on the left side of the screen. The same thing happens if I use kaffeine as a player. Any ideas?
