Hi all, I've been using xine for a while now, and have been very happy with it. Thanks to anyone on this list who helped write it. :-) I recently purchased the Escaflowne Perfect Collection DVD set, and am having trouble playing some of the discs from the set. Specifically, when playing under Linux (using xine, mplayer, or ogle), the playback is choppy, and the video is covered in large square "pixels" (about 16x16 in size, I think) of green or greys. xine-ui reports "liba52:a52 frame failed crc16 checksum" throughout playback. The same disc plays fine in the same machine under Windows (using a DVD player that came with my video card), as well as in a Playstation 2 and a Mac. I have no problems with any other DVD, including the Escaflowne movie DVD that comes in the same boxed set. I realize that because it fails in all three Linux players, it probably isn't a xine problem, but I don't know where else to start. Does anyone have any ideas about what is going on? Thanks, Chris. |
