Hi, I think I've reported this bug before, but I've just hit it again with today's xine CVS. Basically, if xine locks up and needs to be killed, or if it crashes for any reason, then all subsequent programs that wants to use Xv for video output (such as realplayer or coriander) show only a black video window until I restart the X-server. However, *amazingly*, xine itself is completely unaffected and keeps on working with Xv output. Does xine perform some special "clean up" on the XVideo driver before it exits, that it doesn't have a chance to do if it crashes or is killed? If so, could you help me identify this code please? I would like to put that code into a small utility that I can use to "reactivate" my XVideo output without having to restart X every time. Thank you for any help, Cheers, Chris ___________________________________________________________ How much free photo storage do you get? Store your holiday snaps for FREE with Yahoo!
