If is possiable , How can i to do? after all, i perfer to Xine than VLC, my english is poor, please forgive me! thanks James Courtier-Dutton <Ja...@su...> wrote: yanjun lu wrote: > So far,my Xine works fine with DVD using DTS or AC-3, > Mp3 Audio, CD > VCD, and so on others media formats, But does not > supports CD using DTS why? help! > My version: the highest and latest > Libs : same as above > Xine-ui: same as above > xine does not currently support CDs with DTS tracks on them. xine does support playing DTS .wav files. So, if you copy the CD tracks to your hard disc, and then play the .wav files, it should work using xine's software DTS decode, but it will not work using speaker-arrangement "passthru". There is also a separate problem on whether you are using an external DTS decoder, or using xine's software DTS. DTS from a CD is at 44.1khz rate. Some sound cards can only output 48khz rate for DTS and AC3. e.g. SB Live, SB Audigy. Although other cards can do 44.1khz rate for DTS and AC3, xine does not currently support them at 44.1khz rate. DVDs use 48khz rate for AC3 and DTS, and those will work on all sound cards for both software and external hardware decoding. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by BEA Weblogic Workshop FREE Java Enterprise J2EE developer tools!
